How often will the waitlists move now? When I see the 2019, 2020 movements, some days waitlists moved within 2-3 days. Any idea about it?

Did anyone receive mail for updation to NCR BM waitlist just today? They have asked to pay 50K. Do you think it is worth it to pay with WL 636?

What possible diadvantages can NCR cause for XLRI J BM?

I have received a waitlist letter of 648 for xl delhi today(earlier it was a reject). What are my chances of conversion? Does anyone know how many seats are filled/left?

I had originally posted this message in a telegram group. Have also added a new point (5th one) to it. I hope it clears aspirants' doubts who are confused between XLRI NCR vs new IIMs (R/T/U)/IIM Shillong/NMIMS. DISCLAIMER: I don't have any agenda in my mind. Just wanted to help aspirants and prevent the spread of fake information. For authenticity of my profile, you can search Rishabh Chawla on Linkedin. Hello Guys, I recently converted my waitlist in SPJIMR and will be joining the same. Before converting that, I had only two options - XLRI NCR and IIM S. I did an extensive research and had made up my mind to join XLRI NCR. The reasons were as follows: 1. Common placements. As cliched as it might sound, the placements are indeed common. Even the roles offered are common. For example - Aditya Birla Leadership Program is open for ABCL XL ISB students and NCR students are interning there. There were around 15-20% companies that didn't open their roles because of institution age criteria and because of complacency of XLRI administration. The complacency that I am talking about is that they'd assumed recruiters won't create any issue because they're going ahead with this two institutions, one brand marketing strategy. They had not anticipated that recruiters would have such policies like institution's age criteria. However, this year they aren't as complacent. They have already convinced Kearney (an amazing Consulting firm) to recruit from XLRI NCR. Even HUL, which has an institute age criteria of 20 years (disputed fact as I saw it being mentioned in a IIFT discussion group, may or may not be true) opened its roles for XLRI NCR students. Do remember that HUL has never allowed IIFT Kolkata's students to sit for the placements (this fact is true though :D). Even HUL's case competition is open for NCR students. The administration's biggest priority rn is to convince Amazon to open up its roles. Also, Jsr students will be flown to NCR campus for Consulting placements. And NCR students will be going to Jsr campus for other placement opportunities. 2. Case Competitions. Yes, Mahindra's War Room competition wasn't open to them. Many more weren't open for them too. However, the same thing can be attributed to the complacency on the admin's part. They're again working hard this year so that more competitions open for the NCR guys. One example that I can think of is P&G's emerging leaders programme. It's open for ABCL and XL students only. XL NCR students CAN apply for that competition. After making a switch to SPJIMR, I'm not eligible. 3. Common faculty. I was sent a list of faculty by one of their current students studying there. They're AMAZING. I checked credentials of 3-4 teachers and was really amazed to see that all of them have such long CVs. Have attached the list. 4. Business Incubator Program (deferred placements) If you want to pursue entrepreneurship after your MBA, XL will support you for the first two years. They will ask the Loan Bank to defer the moratorium period by another year. Will give you stipend to pursue your ideas. And if your business idea fails in the first two years or you aren't satisfied with your venture, you can sit for the placements again. Matlab 4 years baad after you started your MBA. This was pretty cool for me. 5. Alumni Base and Peer Quality: I got to know that a lot of alums come for guest lectures on weekends in XLRI NCR. The number is even higher than XL Jsr's. If an institute is operating in this way, I'm sure XL NCR students would be able to leverage XL Jsr alums in the future. However, it's entirely a conjecture on my end. Readers' discretion is advised. I was also concerned about the peer quality. Then got to know that person with waitlist in 900s who converted XL NCR last year got into TAS. TAS hired only 1 student from XLRI BM and that 1 student was the same person I mentioned in the above statement. I think peer quality would be good enough. Def similar to top 10-15 B.School. Now everything can't be as rosy as we want. The cons are definitely there. The Jsr students did try to do some politics but the administration arm twisted them to ensure that NCR students get equal opportunities. I mean this is to be expected because 180 se 251 hogya tha competition for BM students. Then NCR campus pe Zomato shows no options available. 30-40 km away hai from Gurgaon I guess. The administration runs free shuttle services but still 1 ghanta toh travel hai hi. ALSO, YOU'LL HAVE TO MENTION XLRI NCR ON YOUR CV. My conclusion was based on the fact that I had a 9/9/8 profile and was a non engineer. I'd been a topper throughout my academic career too. I had also been working for 2.5 years in the auditing domain. I had already received shortlists from MBBs back end arms during my time in Deloitte and had got rejected by them due to lack of relevant work ex. I had sufficient reasons to believe that I'll get shortlists from most of the major companies and will have ample amount of opportunities. Now you might say that what's the use of getting all these shortlists if you don't get selected in the final list. My response was that at least I wouldn't have the regret that I didn't have tier 1 opportunities. Like JPMC's 2.5 lakhs per month waala role bhi was open for NCR students. The average package is 1.53 Lakhs for the summers. 17 students who opted out (not forced to sign out but opted out because companies bahut bakwaas aa rahe they on day 8 and 9) did so because they weren't able to convert their initial shortlists or their CV wasn't good enough. 1000 tak waitlist move hone k thode nuksaan. Un 17 mein se bhi some students after interview prep and soft skills prep landed up roles in companies like ITC. The good thing was that none of them ended up with an unpaid internship. XL Administration encouraged them and not forced them to sign out. Plus the location advantage and excellent faculty made it an interesting proposition. I know it's risky but I also talked to someone who left SIBM Pune and IIM S for XLRI NCR last year for Finance opportunities. That guy is currently interning in RBI. It's a risky proposition but I personally was ready to take up the risks because of my profile. Do whatever suits you the best. I just wanted to help you guys. Have no agenda in my mind. Pheww!!! Refer to XLRI Delhi's facebook page. 2 webinars have been uploaded there and a lot of information in the above post has been taken from there.

I love you XLRI-J❤️ You are one among the few colleges like MDI, SPJIMR and ISB who gives fair chance to everyone and selects the "deserved" ones not the "reserved". Pyaara college hain.❤️ I read a post on LinkedIN wherein you selected a candidate who had 4 yrs gap because of UPSC prep. XLRI appreciates hardwork and dedication of a person.❤️ Love you XL !❤️

Current Options that I have. Any insights as to why one should be preferred over others?
