The best suggestion that I could give u is ..... Call them tommorrow afternoon after 3 PM ... U may have a status on hand ......

I called them up yesterday and was told to call on 20th to know ur status.
They said v will let u kno as soon as sm1 withdraws from the course, well tht means the waitlist for pmir still stands at 21..........tht is what she told me again.......

God knows if what she says is true. It happened with me too. I was told not selected but my invitation letter followed within 4 days time. I hope courier takes this much time. I think they are put to constraint about not leaking information even to those it concerns!! So keep cool and optismistic. Who knows what your courier man delivers tomorrow.

Not sure if they do so. In case if the submission date is near they may call otherwise they may rely on their courier Invitation!! You should ask for updation of your telephone number or rely on your address which has not changed. But in any case do talk to them.
About the waitlist, no idea as yet rather we expected some news from you guys. So do convey us some good news soon. 😃 .

hey XLers...this is Satya..I just got a call frm Xl that MY WL at 65 got cleared..am now really undecided between XL and FMS...gotto call back to XL and tell them by afternoon today...if some of can gimme ur fone nos. to talk to...or anyu of teh seniors fone no...to talk..it wud be of gr8 help to me. ...Unfortunately i hv n't been able to talk to any XLer as of now..my frnd is there but am unable to trace him...gotto decide soon...I wanan take a informed decision...so plzz reply.

Hey man don't worry. Whatever choice u make, it won't make much of a difference as XL and FMS are almost at par with their own pros and cons. I would still suggest you to join XLRI(not becoz I am joining XL). Had I been at your place, I would have done the same as FMS does not have a residential campus. I don't want to spend the 2 crucuial year of my life, staying at PG accomodation as if I am doing a BCom or BA course. Working in grps during nite in the hostel is simply not possible in FMS.

Also because of university funda, FMS has not been able to revise its course for past several years. MBA without Hostel does not make any sense to me.

Yes if I had to choose between FMS and MDI, I wud have any day chosen FMS because of the brand name, good faculty and gr8 alumni network(not to say good placements also) but since all these things along with residential program are available in XL, I would suggest you to go for XLRI.

ThanX Rajsher...and Divya..for the inputs...Now i hv got hold of some XL seniors...hv talked to them...and dreamin wot to do..as of now i called back to XL office and asked them to send me the letter..in that case I am gonna loose 10 K either at FMS or XL..!!..but ya....i m buying some time for me..! ..ppl who can suggest some pro and cons..are very much welcome to PM..it wud be a gr88 help !!

I strongly feel that its not good in your part to disguise ppl on ur whims & fancies.
Well 1st of all regarding the hostel issue, in FMS we have DKRV Hostel, which have 32 seats for freshers, As our bro Satya hails from Hydrabad (I guess) will be given a higher priority then many ppl who reside in the NCR region. This means he'll get the hostel. Moreover I think if you have 32 ppl in a group, then its a large enough group to do any kind of group activities(although not those kinds which naughty ppl like u have in mind).
Moreover madam some of the courses were added/ modified only last year, whereas your remark seems to convey that the course hasnt changed for ages.

So I guess, Let him decide on his own, as I can sense he would like to join us in FMS.

He knows both the threads of XL as well as FMS.He wanted to have an opinion to help himself take a decision.

Had he wanted the opinion of sm1 frm FMS, he wud have posted the same query in FMS thread......

It wud be better if the attempt to make him stick to his present insti. is made on the FMS thread.......

Let the souls here throw their opinions...... and he can then be "re-disguised" on the respective thread(FMS). (If disguising sm1 is that easy )

Seems like you r very good at sensing from longer distances and not shorter ones. You failed to sense that I m a guy and not a gal.
Btw I had only presented a fact which was accepted by one of FMS 2005 pass out guys publicly in TIMEs Achievers meet that not having a residential campus is a disadvantage FMS has.
Accepting a hard fact always lends more credibility to the positive points also. Satys has contact nos of ppl frm both FMS and XLRI and as I mentioned earlier, whatever choice he makes, he doesn't stand to loose much

Par ye kya baat hui. Pehle jab FMS mein teri waitlist latki hui thi to logon ko kehta tha jaao XL join karo. Ab jab apni waitlist clear ho gayi to kehta hai FMS join karo
