AP EAMCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The basic qualifications for candidates to apply for the AP EAMCET 2022 exam are outlined in the eligibility criteria. Nationality, age, educational qualification, and other factors will help candidates prepare for the exam.

A) Nationality:

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals, persons of Indian origin (PIO), or abroad citizens of India, or card holders, to sit for the exam.
  • Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are the only states where candidates can apply.
  • Candidates must meet the standards for local and non-local status in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

B) Age Limit:

  • Candidates must be between the ages of 16 and 17 as of December 31 of the admission year. These classes have no upper age limit.
  • Candidates for B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (FS and T), B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), and B.Sc (CA & BM) must be at least 17 years old.
  • The maximum age restriction for General category candidates should be 22 years, and for SC/ST candidates it should be 25 years as of December 31st of the year of admission.
  • Candidates for the Pharm-D program must be 17 years old as of December 31st of the current year.

C) Educational Qualification:

The Educational Qualification for engineering courses should be as follows:

  • The candidates must have passed or should be in the final year of the 12th or Equivalent exam from any recognizes board of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry subjects.
  • The candidates should have completed or appearing in Diploma in Engineering courses.
  • For Pharm-D course the candidates should have passed or appeared in the final year of 12th or equivalent class from the recognized board with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
  • The candidates of Diploma in pharmacy can also apply for Pharm-D course.
  • The candidates must obtain 45% marks for General Category and 40% marks for Reserved category.

The educational qualification for Agriculture and medical courses:

  • For Pharm-D candidates, they should have cleared or appearing in the final year of the intermediate with Biology, Physics and Chemistry subjects.
  • For Agricultural courses, the candidates should have passed or appearing in the 12th or Equivalent exam with any two / three of the subjects given below:

B.Sc (Agriculture) and B.Sc (Horticulture):

  • Physical sciences
  • Biological or natural sciences
  • Agriculture
  • Vocational Courses in Agriculture

B.V.Sc and A.H:

  • Physical Sciences
  • Biological or natural sciences
  • Vocational courses in Veterinary Sciences.

B.F.Sc:

  • Physical sciences
  • Biological or natural sciences
  • Vocational courses in fishery sciences

B.Tech (FS & T), B. pharmacy and Pharm-D:

  • Mathematics
  • Physical sciences
  • Biological or natural sciences.
