AIIMS PG 2017: Entrance exam for MD/MS scheduled for November 13
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will be conducting the entrance test for applicants of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) for the January 2017 academic session on November 13, 2016. The three-hour test will be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm.
The test paper consists 200 MCQs that need to be answered by the candidate. Each correct answer will carry one mark, an incorrect answer will carry a negative one third of a mark and each unanswered question will not be marked. The questions in the test will cover subjects from MBBS.
A percentile will be generated during the selection procedure. In case of a tie with respect to the entrance test, any candidate with a high aggregate score in MBBS will be chosen. However, in case of a tie in this case, the older candidate will be picked. In order to qualify, a candidate must acquire more than the 50th percentile.
The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted at 24 centres in India, candidates can verify their centre on AIIMS’ official website. Each candidate applying for either MD or MS must hold an MBBS degree from any university or institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) along with the one-year mandatory internship to be completed either on or before January 30, 2017. While AIIMS Delhi has a total of 142 seats, AIIMS at Bhopal has 8, Bhubaneshwar has 15, Jodhpur has 10 and Rishikesh has 2.
