(BSF) Border Security Force is the primary border defence organisation of India. BSF is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India, and Border Security Force (BSF) was raised in the wake of the 1965 War on 1 Dec 1965.It is a Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) charged with guarding India’s land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime.

Director General Border Security Force has issued notifications for recruiting eligible candidates to the Air Wing Group ‘A’ combatised posts-Pilots, Engineers and Logistics Officers-2019. Please find detailed information regarding the vacancies below.

Essential Qualification

Assistant Commandant (Logistic):

Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or Associate member of Institute of Engineers or MBA in Material Management Or Degree in any discipline with 1 year post Graduate diploma in Store management.

Logistic Officer (Deputy Commandant):

1 year store management or material management course with 9 years’ experience in Store Provisioning.

Equipment Officer/Senior Stores Provisioning Officer (Second-in-Command):

1 year store management or material management course with 11 years’ experience in Store Provisioning.

Junior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/Junior Aircraft Radio Maintenance Engineer (Deputy Commandant):

Holders of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination License in the relevant category.

And

Total aircraft maintenance experience of 3 years including 1 year as aircraft maintenance engineer

Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/Senior Aircraft Radio Maintenance Engineer (Second-in-Command):

Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Aircraft maintenance Engineer’s examination certificate or basic Aircraft Engineer’s Examination license or Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License.

Deputy Chief Engineer (Commandant)

Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or holder of aircraft maintenance engineer’s license.

Deputy Commandant(Pilot):

Graduate with CPL or commercial helicopter Pilot’s license or current military flying category ‘B’ Green or ‘C’ Green rating.

Second-in-Command (Pilot):

Current CPL or Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License Category or Current Military Flying Category ‘B’/Green or ‘C’/Green rating.

Commandant (Pilot):

Current CPL or commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License with current flight radio telephone operators license or current Military flying category ‘B’/Green rating.

Senior Operations Officer (DIG):

Current Airlines Transport Pilots License or Current Commercial Helicopter Pilots License with current Flight Radio Telephone Operators License and minimum 2000 hrs as Pilot-in-Command on Multi Engine Aircraft or Helicopters with 1000 hrs Pilot-in-Command.

Capt/Pilot (DIG)

Current Airlines Pilot’s License or Current Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License with Current Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s License and flying experience to fly aircraft as pilot in command with VIPs as per DGCA norms.
