FIIB Closes Employability Gap

FIIB as an institution for higher education in management is committed to high quality management education with a focus on lifelong learning, leadership development and ‘high employability’ coming out of the MBA program. Reflective and Well-Designed Curriculum

The redrawn curriculum of FIIB is contemporary and futuristic in its design and delivery. The institute revises and upgrades its curriculum every year, to incorporate the ever-changing needs of the industry and business, in consultation with the students, faculty, practitioners and its alumni. The main focus is on building key managerial skills of critical thinking, problem solving, managing groups and teams, and personal leadership development through unique courses such as Structuring Decisions and Processes, Analysis of Global Business Environment, The Business Ecosystem, Business Information and Analytics, and Entrepreneurial Innovation. This is achieved using a variety of learning methods including traditional case studies, global study trips, simulations, role-plays, and live projects with practitioners.

Deep Research and Outreach

FIIBs core faculty comprises of award-winning individuals from renowned institutions such as the IIMs, FMS, and IITs with extensive industry experience. They are all engaged in teaching, research, training and/or consultancy assignments. This affords the Institute an extensive network of contacts which are instrumental in getting live student projects and industry inputs so essential to quality management education.

Unique Beyond the Classroom Experiences

Professional and career development is an integral part of The FIIB experience. At the beginning of the program students are led to undertake a meaningful career exploration that involves self-assessments, supported with industry interactions, peer career mentoring and individual career coaching by trained professionals. Some unique outside of classroom experiences for students include – Structured personality development programs that focus on inculcating interview & GD skills, resume development; Mentoring by senior faculty members, alumni, and in some cases by corporate leaders; Providing research and information about the recruiting companies through a dynamic and proprietary database that contains published and experiential notes from the alumni.

Sustained Recruiter Relationships

FIIB has a super active Industry Interface Cell that partners with corporate institutions to enhance the students learning beyond the classroom. Its activities include organizing seminars on relevant and futuristic topics of interest to businesses globally, inviting practicing managers of top companies to come and share the realities of running a business first-hand, arranging constant projects and visits for students, updating FIIBs course curriculum to be in line with industry needs. Therefore, a large part of FIIB’s recruiter base comprises brands that have been recruiting from FIIB since its inception.

Placements

As a result of these efforts, Placements at FIIB for the Batch graduating in 2012 closed at a very high note. In addition to being able to secure 100% placements for all its students, the season saw many new sectors and profiles being added to the record. Some companies that participated in Placement 2012 at FIIB included: Accenture, American Express, BMR Advisors, Capital IQ, Citibank, Deloitte, E&Y;, Federal Bank, Genpact, HealthKart, IDBI, Indiabulls, India Infoline, Make My Trip, Neilsoft, Safeexpress, Yes Bank, etc.
