As per the latest notification released in regard to the GATE 2020 by the Indian Institutes of Technology, the last date of registration for GATE 2020 has now been extended. The online application process commenced from 3rd September 2019 and had to finish by 24th September 2019. This notification that has been published on the official website, specifies that the deadline for registrations for GATE 2020 is being extended for two days.
The above extension has been provided to students as the online registration portal crashed on the previously specified last date i.e. 24th September 2019 due to extremely heavy traffic which the servers were unable to cop-up with. So, now the students can log on to the official portal for GATE 2020 registrations i.e. https://appsgate.iitd.ac.in/ and complete the online registration for GATE 2020 by 26th September 2019. This is the last opportunity for the candidate’s who were unable to complete their application online. They must log-on to the official portal and complete the online application process immediately without waiting till the last hour.
Another important point to be considered by the candidates is that they must also pay the requisite application fee also by the new last date of GATE 2020 application i.e. 26th September 2019. If the candidate is unable to deposit the application fee for any reason, then he/she will not be able to appear for the GATE 2020 exam. Once the application process is completed on 26th September 2019, the process of issuing the admit cards will begin.
Students who have successfully complete the online application process only will be able to download their admit cards from the official website. It is important that students keep on checking the official website for latest notifications and download their admit cards as soon as it is available. No student will be allowed to appear for the GATE 2020 unless he/she has the printed copy of the admit card.

GATE 2020 Exam
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2020 will be conducted in 25 different subjects. The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will be conducted in online mode only.
