IBPS PO 2019 Recruitment: Important Dates, Eligibility and Exam Pattern

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has announced the recruitment for the posts of PO (Probationary officer) /MT (Management Trainee) 2019. A total of about 4336 vacancies are available for the above-mentioned posts across various banks including Bank of India, Allahabad Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Canara Bank, Corporation Bank, Indian Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, United Bank of India and UCO bank.

Educational qualification

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent degree recognized as such by Central Government.

Age limit:

  • Minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 30 years.

Exam pattern:

The exam pattern of IBPS PO/MT 2019 for preliminary exam is as follows.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks that will be deducted for each wrong answer.

IBPS PO/MT pre-exam training:

The Participating organizations or nodal banks may coordinate pre-exam training for ST/SC/Religious Minority candidates at certain centres as guidelines issued by the Government of India. This is kept to tell candidates about the type of questions, tips for time management, common mistakes, best practices, basic tricks, and strategies, etc. The pre-exam training is free of cost with expenses like travel, food, and Lodging are borne by the candidates. The training is conducted usually five days before the exam and dates will be announced on the official website.

Apply online:

The candidates who are interested to apply for the exam can apply through the official website. The following are the steps to apply online.

  • Visit the official website ibps.in.
  • Click on the new registration button.
  • Enter the email id and mobile number and other details that are required.
  • Fill the application form correctly.
  • Upload the photo, sign, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
  • Choose the post that the candidate is applying.
  • Click on the save and next button.
  • Click on the final button to apply and move to fee payment.
  • After the fee payment the application form filling is over.

Result:

The candidates who have appeared for the exam can download the result or check the result from the official website.

  • Visit the official website ibps.in.
  • Go to the home page of IBPS and click on the link provided
  • The window showing the form to be filled for the result will appear on the screen.
  • Enter the username and password.
  • The result of IBPS PO/MT 2019 will appear on the screen.
  • Save and download the result of IBPS PO/MT 2019 for future use.

Interview:

The interview will be conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the nodal agency in each state and UT with the help of IBPS.

The provisional allotment for all candidates will be announced on the official website. The IBPS banks are allotted based on candidate’s preferences which are made at the time of online application.
