IMI, New Delhi hosts TEDx session on 18th February, 2016
Ideas can change lives and today’s generation knows it better than any before. A new
perspective can change our beliefs about life and how we approach it. TED, a non-profit
organization, believes in spreading ideas, usually in the form of short powerful talks happening all
across the globe. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design
converged and today covers almost all topics from science to business to global issues in more than
100 languages. Today, TED Talks are viewed 1.5 million times a day and have crossed the milestone
of one billion video views globally. Independently-run TEDx events are designed to help
communities, organizations and individuals spark conversations through local TED-like experiences
such as live talks and screening of previous TED-Talk videos. These conversations then serve as
springboards for building new and valuable connections.
International Management Institute (IMI) New Delhi, one of India’s leading private B-
schools, with the sole motive of fostering learning and inspiring conversations that matter, is
bringing to you TEDxIMINewDelhiLive. It will be a day-long event comprising 3-4 sessions consisting
of 4-5 talks delivered by celebrated personalities from varied spheres of life who have carved a niche
for themselves. Scheduled on February 18th, 2016, the event will be a unique experience for the
community and will have a global reach. The theme for the speakers of the event has been chosen as
‘Changing the face of the world’ in accordance with the TED 2016 theme “Dream!”. The event will
also be aired live on the TEDxIMINewDelhiLive website and also on the official YouTube channel of
TEDx talks which has over 3.3 million subscribers.
