Institute of Distance and Open Learning, University of Mumbai Announces Admission Schedule for UG and PG Courses

The Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai has announced admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Courses on offer are BA, B.Com, B.Sc (IT), MA, M.Com, M.Sc (Mathematics) etc. Candidates who are willing to apply can do so via the university’s official website http://mu.ac.in/. The admission process will remain open till August 20th, 2019. Submitting late fees, the candidates can apply till August 26th.

Meanwhile, the students of second and third year BA/B.Com from the unversity’s affiliated colleges, who had appeared but could not pass in the first half examination and later passed in the supplementary examination in the same year, are not eligible to take admission in the mentioned courses. Also, the students belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/VJ-NT/SBC) can avail scholarship from the Government of India.

Admission to the institute’s MCA course is done differently. It is done through an entrance exam. The online application process for the MCA entrance test begins from August 5th, whereas, the last date to apply for the same is August 13th. Candidates for the rest of the courses are shortlisted purely on merit. The online entrance examination of the MCA course is on August 18th.

Any graduate from a UGC recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks and Mathematics as a subject at the plus-2 level are eligible to apply for the mentioned courses. Those students who have appeared for their final year and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
