NEET 2016: DMER publishes first selection list for admission in private medical colleges of Maharashtra
Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Maharashtra has published the fist selection list of students for admission in private medical and dental colleges. After the Bombay High Court order of September 19, 2016, stating that it won’t interfere with the state domicile policy, the admission will begin from September 20, 2016.
DMER has published a list of 11223 candidates, who had filled up the preference forms before September 2, 2016. The selection list was supposed to be released on September 3, 2016, but got postponed due to the petitions filed by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir’s KBH Dental College and Hospital, challenging the 85% domicile policy of the state in terms of admission in medical and dental colleges. After the Bombay High Court order yesterday, the admission in private medical and dental colleges can finally begin.
Candidates, who have been allotted colleges on the basis of their NEET ranks and preferences, need to take admission before September 22, 2016 by reporting at the respective colleges.
