NEET 2016: Result of second round seat allotment for 15% AIQ medical/dental seats declared
The second round seat allotment results for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) medical/dental seats have been declared today on the official website of the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).The results, which are based on the All India Rank of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2016 is for 1,886 vacant seats for MBBS and BDS courses in various medical and dental colleges across the country.
Steps to Download the Result
· Candidates need to visit the official website www.mcc.nic.in
· In the left hand corner of the homepage, the candidates will see an active link ‘Result Round 2’
· Upon clicking the active link, the candidates will be directed to a page where they have to provide their Roll Number of NEET 2016
· Clicking the ‘Submit’ button after filling information will provide the seat allotment result for Round 2
· Candidates are advised to save the list and take a printout of the same for future reference
Those who are allotted to medical/dental colleges need to report at the respective college with all the required documents (listed below) from September 13 to 20, 2016. Candidates must keep in mind that this is the last round of seat allotment under the 15% AIQ for government medical/dental colleges and the unfilled seats after this round will go the state quota for admission.
Important documents to be carried
· Admit Card of NEET 2016
· Result/rank letter of NEET 2016 issued by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education)
· Proof of Date of Birth (if not mentioned in the matriculation certificate) and identity
· Mark-sheet and Certificate of Class X and XII
· Eight passport-sized photographs
· Provisional allotment letter (to be generated online after allotment)
· Migration certificate from the university/Board last attended by the candidate
· One set of self-attested copies of all the certificates.
· SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable)
· Orthopaedic physical disability certificate (if applicable)
Physically handicapped candidates (for locomotor disabilities of lower limbs between 50% to 70%) must note that they need to produce ‘Disability Certificate’ from any of the four disability assessment boards constituted in the four metro cities in India before reporting to the college to claim admission. Any other state or regional certification will not be valid for admission under this category. The four disability assessment boards are:
