NEET PG 2017: Round 1 Result for 50% AIQ medical seats declared
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Post Graduate Round 1 seat allotment results today on March 23, 2016. A total of 5,598 candidates have been allotted seats in various colleges across the country for various PG medical courses. The selection of candidates have been made on the basis of their All India NEET PG ranking for the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) medical seats across the country.
Candidates were waiting anxiously for the allotment list to come out as the results of the NEET PG were out in the month of January. While quite a few colleges in different states have started the admission process for various PG courses, the recent directive of MCI (Medical Council of India) to conduct both UG and PG medical seat counselling centrally giving all the power to the state, has created confusion among candidates. While the 50% AIQ seats will be filled by MCC under DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services), rest of the seats in the state (for both private and public institutes), must be filled by the concerned state medical authority.

After the last date, the vacant seats will be submitted back to respective states, which then will be filled by state medical authorities.
