Punjab Public Service Commission invites applications for the post of District Welfare Officer

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of District Welfare Officer in the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Government of Punjab. The relevant details of this notification are as follows:

No. of vacancies: 06

Minimum educational qualification and experience:

Graduate in Social Sciences with 5 years of experience as a social worker, especially among the Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes.

Candidates with an M.A. in Social Sciences or Sociology, possessing technical knowledge and experience in the field of social work, will be given preference.

Age limit: The candidate should not be below 21 years of age or above 37 years of age as on 19th March, 2015.

Remuneration: Rs. 10, 300 – 34, 800 + 5, 000 per month

Selection process: The commission will hold a competitive examination on General Studies.
