Railway Recruitment 2019: Apply for Deputy General Manager,Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joint Collector and Other Posts
The Indian Railway does not only have a glorious history of development but is continuing to grow and expand with each passing day. It includes nearly 18 Railway zones across India which provide services in both rural and urban parts of our country. In order to provide unhindered services to lakhs of people, the Indian railways house a huge workforce. Any vacancies in the Indian Railways are filled up regularly by the Railway Recruitment Boards.
The Indian Railway has announced several vacancies recently for recruitment in 2019. It has invited applications for a number of posts in its administration. There are numerous vacancies that are available for different posts.
The posts for which the recruitment drive will be carried out are as follows:
- Additional General Manager / Joint General Manager / Deputy General Manager
- Additional Deputy Commissioner / Joint Collector
- Member (Agriculture)
- Financial Advisor
While there are three vacancies for the post of Additional General Manager/ Joint General Manager/ Deputy General Manager, there are only two vacancies for the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Joint Collector. For Member (Agriculture) and Financial Advisor posts only 1 vacancy each is available.
Candidates can start applying for the vacancies at the earliest. However, before getting into the application process, candidates must go through the eligibility criteria for the post they want to apply for. If they do not match the eligibility criteria, their application will not be given any consideration.
Here are a few basic criteria that candidates must take a look at before applying –
- Candidates must have the necessary educational qualification for the post they are applying for.
- Candidates must have work experience of a minimum of 20 years for the given posts.
- For making the application, the upper age limit of 55 years has been set for the candidates.
Those who will be selected successfully in these posts will be recruited in the Indian Railways on a deputation basis. They will be appointed for a period of 3 to 5 years.

They will also be eligible for a salary upon appointment. They will be paid in accordance with the pay scale of the 7th CPC pay matrix level 11/12.
