The admit cards for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) tier 2 examination of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), western region are out now. This 2nd tier is a computer based examination for which all candidates who had cleared tier 1 of the SSC CGL 2019 shall be eligible.

Also, the admit cards that have been released are only applicable for all those who had chosen  centres in the western region states, namely, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. The e-admit card is available for download on the official website of SSC WR which is www.sscwr.net.

It is mandatory to download the admit card and preferable to get a printed copy of the same for future use. The admit card shall be useful after the publication of results for verification of documents.

 The SSC WR CGL tier 2 examinations are slated to be held from the 11th to the 14th of September 2019. The candidates will require their registration number, roll number, name and date of birth for the process. For the tier 3 skill test, admit cards will later be issued to only those candidates who successfully clear this tier 2 exam. Here are the steps that you may follow to download your admit card:

  1. Log on to the official website of the SSC WR – sscwr.net
  2. On the home page of the website, look for and click on the link that says STATUS/ DOWNLOAD ADMIT CARD FOR COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL TIER II EXAM TO BE HELD FROM 11/09/2019 TO 14/09/2019.
  3. Carefully enter the required fields- Registration number or roll number and date of birth. Click on search.
  4. The results will be displayed. Download the Admit card and get it printed to preserve a hard copy for future reference.

In case a candidate does not know or remember their roll number, there is an alternative wherein they can enter their name, their father’s name and their date of birth to download the admit card easily. Also, if a particular candidate is facing any sort of inconvenience or is unable to download the admit card, they must immediately report the issue to the regional office of the SSC WR with certain documents. If the problem is not reported on time, the candidate might stand disqualified for the exam.

The SSC CGL tier 2 examination is conducted in the format of Multiple Choice Type Questions and hence is an objective paper. The examination will be conducted on a computer and the paper will have 4 sections namely:

  • Quantitative Ability
  • Statistics
  • General Studies (Finance and Economics)
  • English Language and Comprehension

Each of these sections will carry around 100 questions of 2 marks each making it 200 marks per section. There is, however, a system of negative marking. 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The tier 3 and tier 4 examinations are supposed to be descriptive in nature.

Candidates are also suggested to carry the originals of their photo identity proof, PAN card, etc., along with their admit card on the day of the exam for the purpose of verification.
