Waves of euphoria at IITB’s Mood Indigo

IIT Bombay’s (IITB), Mood

individuals. Today, it is the biggest cultural festival of Asia. IIT Bombay’s
mega carnival has now touched new heights and is expecting a footfall of 1,26,000
from 1,600 colleges.

The name Mood I has an
interesting significance. The color Indigo which is derived from red and blue
symbolizes ingenuity and imagination. This color depicts the mood, and motto of
the fest. Mood I includes dance, dramatics, design and digital arts, fine arts,
music, lifestyle, literary, and speaking arts.

Mood I’s first big success
was in the year 1976- the decade of Jazz. Since then there has been no looking
back. Over the years, the expectations of participants and visitors from Mood I
has increased.

This
year’s theme ‘A Hawaiian Escapade’, looks very promising. Competitions like Nrityanjali
(The Epic Indian Classical Competition), Spectrum (UV Group Dance), Jam
(Creative Speaking), Humour Us (Stand-Up Comedy), She’s Got The Look (Mood I’s
Gateway To Miss India 2016). Apart from these, musical concerts are also a
special attraction for the visitors. Most of them, look forward to the EDM Nite
by DVBBS and Borgeous, Popular Nite by music composer Pritam, and the Nostalgia
Nite by singer Shaan. Adding to the glitter of Mood I, one can also experience
some power packed performances by Javed Ali, Neha Kakkar, Aditi Singh Sharma,
Antara Mitra, Nakash Aziz and Amit Mishra.

To experience the intensity
of competitions, one can participate in adventure activities like paintball,
rock climbing etc. There are some fun-filled events too, which exercise the
logic, and intellect of the students.

Mood I is also holding an
interactive session with Shashi Tharoor. Workshops covering majority of the
interests are also being organized, which includes cooking, acting etc.

The biggest attraction of
Mood I 2015 is going to be the Free Night Market and Casino Night.

The hard work and
dedication of students working behind the scenes is what makes any fest a
success. Along with the performers, these individuals are the ones who deserve
a huge round of applause.

Mood I has much more to
offer, see you at there to witness the spectacle unfold.
