According to the report,
“XAT will be held on January 3, 2009,” said XLRI, in an official communication to MBAUniverse.com.
Unlike CAT 2009, XAT entrance exam will maintain its traditional paper-pencil test format, according to XLRI. The candidate application fee will be Rs. 800, the same as last year, the admissions department of XLRI mentioned. (Complete story)

Is it just me, or does someone else also suspect that IIFT knew about the CAT exam dates when it announced the IIFT Entrance Test on Nov 22, the slot usually reserved for the CAT. Interesting, if all these institutes counsel with each other before planning the year’s exam dates.
