Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) provides scholarships on the basis of merit. The B-school offers a number of scholarships and awards. A brief about the same is listed below:

  • Late B. K. Birla Admission Merit Scholarship

Eligibility criteria: Students with the first two positions as per TGPA in all courses are eligible for this scholarship upto 4th term, provided they clear the exam in a single attempt.

  • Madhuri and Jagdish Sheth Endowment Awards

Professor Jagdish Sheth and Professor Emeritus of the Emory University of USA has donated INR 5,00,000 to BIMTECH to create two scholarships. BIMTECH has contributed another INR 5,00,000 to make it of INR 10,00,000 Endowment. The Award Ceremony takes place during the Annual Convocation of the institute.

  • Jagdish N. Sheth Award for Best Ph.D. Thesis

This award is given to candidates who have submitted and evaluated their Doctoral thesis at the time of the current academic year. The amount of the award to INR 50,000.

  • Madam Madhuri J. Sheth Award for BIMTECH Female Toppers

This award is given on the basis of the CGPA of the 1st & 2nd year. The amount of the award is INR 50,000.

  • Late Sarla Birla Award for BIMTECH Female Doctoral Students from Developing Countries

A scholarship of INR 1,00,000 is granted for 3 consecutive years.

  • Gold Medals and Silver Medals

This scholarship is provided on the basis of 2 categories which are as follows:

  1. The Gold Medal is given to candidates who have been the topper in each course as per the academic performance and to one male and one female student of the institute who has been a topper in all-round performance. 
  2. Students of PGDM and PGDM (IB) courses with 1st position in the area of HR, Operations, Marketing and Finance. The Silver medal is given on the basis of their results of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th term.
