IIT Bombay Campus Amenities
IIT Bombay, founded in 1958, is one of the best technological institutes in the country. The MHRD designated the college as an Institute of Eminence. Every year, thousands of students from all over the country attend. Powai is home to IIT Bombay.
The campus is located away from the city’s hustle and bustle. It has every amenity a student could want. The institute encourages its students to be their best selves in all aspects of life. It has many facilities to provide students with a better environment in which to learn and push themselves to become better.
IIT Bombay is well known for its large residential halls. In the 14 hostels and Tansa, the institute houses both girls and boys pursuing residential programmes. IIT Bombay has a Hostel Coordinating Unit (HCU) that is in charge of managing and coordinating activities and looking into the hostel situation. All of the hostels, including Tansa, are well-equipped with modern amenities such as dining/mess and recreational activities. However, undergraduate students in their first and second years are assigned to twin sharing rooms, while students in their final and third years are assigned to single shared rooms.
