Process of Admission to IIT Indore

Admissions to IIT Indore are currently open for the July 2022 session. Applications are being accepted for the MTech, MS (research), and PhD programmes at the institute. The application deadline for non-TA candidates interested in the MTech and MS (Research) programmes is May 10. The deadline to apply for PhD programmes is May 31. JEE Advanced 2022 for BTech will be administered on August 28 for both sessions. August 7–11 will be the registration period.

National entrance exams will serve as the basis for IIT Indore admissions in 2022. The JEE Advanced entrance test is required for enrollment in the IIT Indore B.Tech programme and is planned for July 3, 2022. The JEE Main 2022 dates were also made public by NTA. Two sessions of the JEE Main test 2022 will be held between April 21 and May 4 and May 24-29, respectively. Exam registration for the April session is still open. Candidates have until March 31 to submit their JEE Main 2022 application. The results of the GATE exam are taken into account for admission to the M.Tech programme. Important Dates

IIT Indore undergraduate Admission 2022

• Candidate must have passed the 12th grade higher secondary test with math, physics, and chemistry as their core courses.
• The students who are scheduled to appear will also be eligible for the qualifying exam and be able to apply for admission.
• The grades obtained in JEE Advanced will be used to determine admission.

JEE is a 3-hour exam with 90 questions that cover all topic pertinent to the engineering sector.

• Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are all equally important.
• The inquiries are of an objective nature.
• Each accurate response earns four points, whereas erroneous ones lose one-fourth of a point.

IIT Indore Postgraduate Admission 2022

• Those with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field are eligible to apply for admission to IIT Indore.
• A passing score on the qualifying exam must be at least 60%.
• The GATE score will be used to determine admission to the M.Tech programme.
• The GATE exam is a 3-hour examination with 65 questions that cover all topic pertinent to the discipline as it is studied at the undergraduate level.
• Both general aptitude and technical aspects will be covered in sections.
• There will be MCQ-based questions.
• holders of a bachelor’s degree in the pertinent field from an accredited university or institution.
• a passing score on the qualifying exam of at least 60%.
• The JAM scores will be used to determine admission to the M.Sc. programme.
• JAM lasts for three hours.
• The exam will have a maximum score of 100 marks, with one mark deducted for each incorrect response.

Data science MS from IIT Indore

An MSc in Data Science and Management programme has been launched by IIT Indore and IIM Indore. The curriculum is provided online for 2 years with a total seat intake of 200. The total cost of the programme is INR 12 lakhs for Indian participants and INR 15.6 lakhs for foreign participants. The programme also includes 900 hours of instruction spread across 14 to 15 hours per week of live lectures. The instructors from both institutes will benefit students enrolled in this programme.

IIT Indore MSc Data Science Requirements

Before submitting an application, interested individuals must meet the following prerequisites in order to be considered for the 2 year online MSc Data Science programme.

• a bachelor’s or master’s degree, such as a BTech, BS, BPharm, BArch, BDes, BSc, MSc, MCA, or MBA, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 60%.
• any degree that is similar, provided that it includes a minimum of two computer programming courses and one math course at the qualifying degree level.
• valid 2022/2021/2020 CAT, GMAT, GRE, or JAM scores.

Data Science MSc Selection Criteria at IIT Indore

Candidates are initially shortlisted based on the applications they have submitted. The shortlisted candidates are then contacted by the institute for an interview. However, the candidates’ final admittance will be determined by how well they do in the interview.

Admission 2022 M.Sc. + PhD IIT Indore

The two-year M.Sc. programme at IIT Indore has the option to change to an MSc + PhD (dual degree) programme at the conclusion of the third semester. Five specialties of the degree are available: physics, chemistry, mathematics, biotechnology, and astronomy. After the third semester, students who decide to pursue the M.Sc.+Ph.D. option will graduate with both an M.Sc. and a Ph.D.

Candidates must take the IIT JAM entrance exam in order to be admitted to the programme.

Qualifications for M.Sc.+Ph.D. at IIT Indore

• a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% in the relevant discipline from an accredited institution or institute
• a passing score on the IIT JAM admission exam.

NOTE: To be eligible for M.Sc+Ph.D. after the third semester, students must maintain a specific CGPA set by the institute.

M.Sc.+Ph.D. Selection Criteria at IIT Indore

Four rounds of admission are held as part of the IIT JAM counselling process, which is how candidates are chosen. Seats are assigned according on the JAM entry test scores, choice filling, seat availability, classifications, and other variables.

Application Process for PhD and M.Sc. at IIT Indore

• Check out the JOAPS webpage.
• Register by providing all necessary information, such as the candidate’s name, email address, mobile number, and qualifications.
• Candidates will obtain an enrollment ID after registering, and they can use it and their password to access the JOAPS portal.
• Complete the application and indicate your preferred cities and the number of papers.
• Upload scanned copies of your ID, your signature, and your SC, ST, or PWD certificates (if applicable).
• Complete the IIT JAM application form, pay the online application cost, and submit it.

IIT Indore Ph.D. Admission 2022

• A master’s degree in the relevant field is required for entrance to the Ph.D. programme.
• Candidates with UGC/CSIR-JRF qualifications or GATE qualifications will both be accepted.
• Academic achievement, a personal interview, and the entrance exam will be used to choose students for the Ph.D. programme.
