Online Short-Term Courses at IIT Kharagpur 2022
Every year, IIT Kharagpur’s departments organise a variety of online short-term courses. Any working professional, sponsored, or self-sponsored postgraduate student may apply for IIT Kharagpur online courses. The cost of online courses varies depending on the length of the course. BTech from IIT Kharagpur
In the engineering category of the NIRF 2021 rankings, IIT Kharagpur’s BTech program is ranked fifth. The student-to-faculty ratio in the program is 13:1. Regular students in the BTech program at IIT Kharagpur can switch to the Dual Degree Program at the end of the third year. For BTech students, the institute also offers a ‘Semester Away Program and Credit Transfer.’ Students in this program spend one or two semesters at a university in India or abroad. The credits earned during this time are applied toward the completion of the degree.
GATE 2022 at IIT Kharagpur
IIT Kharagpur is the host institution for GATE 2022. (IITKGP). On March 16, at 11:45 p.m., the institute announced the GATE 2022 results. The results were revealed one day before the scheduled date, March 17, 2022. Candidates who took the exam can view their results on the GATE 2022 IIT Kharagpur official website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in, using their username and password. In addition to the results, IIT Kharagpur has released the GATE 2022 Toppers List and GATE 2022 cut off marks.
Candidates who have a valid GATE 2022/2021/2020 score can now apply for IIT counseling. Registration for COAP 2022 is now open. On March 20, 2022, the authority began the registration process. The deadline has yet to be confirmed.
MTech from IIT Kharagpur
IIT Kharagpur offers the MTech program in 47 specializations. In addition to the MTech program, the institute provides a Joint MTech/MCP-PhD program. The GATE exam is used to determine admission to all MTech program. Non-GATE students with a CGPA of 8.0, on the other hand, are admitted directly to the institute. Candidates with BTech degrees from IITs may also be admitted to the MTech program.
The programs costs INR 4.60 Lacs in total. After completing their degrees, students who participate in the recruitment cycle earn an average salary package of INR 20 LPA.
The Joint MTech/MCP-PhD program allows candidates to begin the PhD program immediately following the second semester of the MTech program. Candidates who complete the MTech/MCP program earn a doctorate degree.
PhD from IIT Kharagpur
IIT Kharagpur offers four types of PhD programs. Regular Ph.D. with Institute Assistantship, PhD Fellowship, Sponsored PhD, and PhD through Sponsored Research Project are the four categories. Candidates must have a master’s degree in the relevant discipline, 60 percent or a CGPA of 6.5, and a valid score in GATE/ NET/ CSIR/ UGC/ SLET. Admission is granted based on a Department-Based Test, Academic Performance, Work Experience, and an Interview.
