Jaipur National University – [JNU], Jaipur Overview Admission Process

The B.Tech program of the JNU is of 4 years duration. The minimum eligibility required for admission is 50% marks in 10+2 in the Science stream. B.Tech program is specialized in 14 streams. Admission to the program is based on Entrance test scores + Personal interview marks.

Jaipur National University has a variety of Undergraduate courses to offer in the field of Science, Arts, Commerce, and Law to eligible candidates. The course options available for interested candidates range from BBA, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc., BHMT, BJMC, BA, B. Pharm, LLB, and B. Ed. 

The course duration for all the B. Pharm is 4 years. Apart from this, B. Sc. (Agriculture) course is also of 4 years’ duration. All the other courses except B.Ed. are of 3 years’ duration, while B. Ed. Is completed in 2 years’ time. However, integrated courses are for 5 years’ duration.

Other than the above-mentioned courses, candidates can apply for various diploma courses which are offered at JNU Jaipur. The diploma courses are usually for 1 year only. Candidates who have passed their 10+2 exams in relevant fields can apply for diploma courses.

The selection of the candidates for UG and Integrated courses is based on the entrance test/ merit-based. The entrance tests will be conducted from April 26, 2020, to May 10, 2020. Those who qualify in the entrance test will be called for Personal Interview and hence a final merit list of candidates who have been offered the admission will be prepared.

Various integrated courses are also offered to candidates who have completed their class 12^th. The entrance test will also be conducted for some integrated courses while some courses offer admission on merit basis. It is important to be aware of the eligibility criteria for each course option before going for the application procedure. Candidates must read all the instructions and requirements and accordingly, apply for a particular course. Admission to the candidates to the above-mentioned courses will be based on either merit or entrance test/ qualifying test. All the course admission will required candidates to sit for an interview. The selection of the candidates on a merit basis will include a merit list of the candidates who qualify for the cutoff set by the authorities, hence those candidates will appear for the interview session. The academic performance of the candidates will be taken into consideration along with the interview.

There are various doctoral programs that are offered by the university in schools of various disciplines such as Arts, Computer Science, Law, Education, Management, etc. The research programs include M. Phil and Ph.D. courses in a variety of subjects including English, Sociology, Law, Education, etc. candidates aspiring to take admission to research courses must have attained minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their Master’s degree. Jaipur National University offers various courses under Distance learning through the School of Distance Education and Learning. UG and PG courses offered by SODEL are BCA, B. Sc., BBA and MCA, MBA, MA in English, Finance, and Marketing respectively. Other than this, PG Diploma in HRM and PGDCA are also offered. Eligibility for candidates applying for UG courses is such that candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations. The minimum duration of UG Courses is 3 years. A candidate is required to have a graduate degree in a relevant field to get admission to desired courses. The duration of a master’s degree is 2 years. However, PGDCA course is for 1 year only and

The admission to distance learning courses will be confirmed after the candidate complies with the eligibility conditions. However, firstly, candidates will have to obtain the application form from the online portal or information centers established in your nearest town. Candidates must be ready with the required documents and scanned copy of photograph and signatures. Payment of INR 500 must be made at the time of purchasing the application form, offline or payment gateway will be active for online applicants.
