NIT Raipur PhD Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates should have a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Science /Architecture/Planning/ Humanities and Social Sciences or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the institute.
- Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA/CPI at Master’s degree is essential for NIT Raipur admission in PhD program

NIT Raipur PhD Selection Criteria
- Candidates recommended by the Department Selection Committee will be called by the Heads of Department to appear for an interview.
- Based on the academic records and the performance of the candidates in the interview and test, the departmental selection committee will recommend the names of candidates found suitable for NIT Raipur admission to PhD programme.
- As eligibility to appear for interview, for OC/OBC/EWS, a cut-off mark is set at 50% of the maximum marks scored in the written examination department and 45% for SC/ST/PH.
- UGC/CSIR(JRF)/NET/Teacher fellowship holder / MPhil qualified candidates need not appear in written entrance examination. Therefore, all such candidates will be called directly for online interview subject to their eligibility.
