Admission

VTU BE/B.Tech Admission 2019:

  • At the undergraduate (UG) level the university offers Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Architecture courses to the interested candidates. B.E is four years whereas B.Arch takes five years to complete its duration. VTU also accepts lateral entry in B.E programme, which is a second-year entry in B.E and holds three years of the period.

To get admission in B.E courses, candidates need to appear any of the entrance exam given below:

  • Karnataka CET (KCET), which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). For an online application form
  • Joint Entrance Test , which is an all India common engineering entrance exam conducted for admission to various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.
  • The candidates seeking admission in B.Arch courses have to attend National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).

VTU M.Tech and M.Arch Admission 2019:

  • Visvesvaraya Technology University (VTU) provides two Master’s degree courses in Technology and Architecture, M.Tech and Master of Architecture (M.Arch). It offers a wide range of specialisations in M.Tech. Both of the courses are of 2 years.
  • Admission to the M.Tech courses is made through the Entrance test conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
  • Candidates who have qualified in GATE exam, are exempted from Test

VTU MBA and MCA Admission 2019:

  • Besides, VTU provides two other Master’s level courses; these are MCA and MBA. MCA is three years, while MBA is for two years.
  • The candidates seeking admission for the courses mentioned above, need to appear in an entrance exam, known as Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association. To apply for KMAT candidates are requested to check the official website
