COMEDK UGET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet all of the eligibility requirements in order to take the COMEDK exam. Failure to meet even one condition will result in the cancellation of your application. As a result, candidates should read all of the eligibility requirements before applying for this exam. For engineering and architectural courses, this eligibility criterion is different. The marks in the qualifying exam are used to determine eligibility. In the tables below, you’ll find the eligibility requirements for engineering and architecture.

Eligibility criteria for engineering courses

Nature of qualifying exam

  • Candidates have to pass either PUC or 10th and 12th higher secondary or equivalent examination
  • This should be from an institution which has an appropriate recognition

Subjects to be mandatory in the qualifying exam

  • Physics, Chemistry ,and Mathematics
  • English will be a compulsory subject in the last two years

Minimum marks to be scored in the qualifying exam

  • Minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry ,and Mathematics in total
  • Minimum of 40% in these subjects for the students of SC, ST and OBC candidates belonging to the state of Karnataka
  • Among the three subjects, Physics and Mathematics are compulsory while in the place of chemistry, it can be any of  the following subjects: Biology or Electronics or Biotechnology or Computer science

Are the diploma candidates eligible?

  • No, they are not eligible under there is no lateral admission scheme

Eligibility criteria for Architecture courses

Nature of qualifying exam

  • Candidates have to pass either PUC or 10th and 12th higher secondary or equivalent examination
  • This should be from an institution which has an appropriate recognition
  • A Diploma can also be considered

Subjects to be mandatory in the qualifying exam

  • Mathematics should have been one of the compulsory subjects in 10th or 12th

Minimum marks to be scored in the qualifying exam

  • Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
  • Minimum of 45% in these subjects for the students of SC,ST and OBC candidates belonging to the state of Karnataka

Qualification for the candidates opting for B.Arch course

  • Candidates need not appear in any of the separate entrance exams as their qualification is based on NATA scores

Nationality

Students who are Indian citizens are eligible to sit for this exam. Despite the fact that the exams are only for Karnataka colleges, students from other states are welcome to take them. This has made it popular among students from all over the country to take this exam.

Age Limit and Number of Attempts

According to the official notification, there is no age limit for this exam. However, the age limit established by the AICTE/VTU will apply to this exam. Because the official notification did not specify a maximum number of attempts, candidates are free to make as many as they want. So, if you missed out on an opportunity to gain admission in one attempt, you can easily try again. However, you must put forth your best effort each time you take this exam.
