MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Academic Qualification and Age Limit

MICAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates would need to meet specific parameters to appear for the exam. Therefore, it is essential for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria before they apply for the entrance examination. The admission committee of MICA may cancel the candidate’s admission at the later stage if they find out the candidate doesn’t meet the specified eligibility criteria. Therefore, it must be carefully noted that the candidate should meet the eligibility criteria.

The critical points of the eligibility criteria are: –

  1. Candidates should have a valid score in one of the qualifying examinations namely CAT 2022, XAT 2022 or GMAT (2022 onwards).
  2. Earlier the MICA decided that candidates with below 90 percentiles in CAT exams are not eligible for MICA admission but later they changed and there is no specific cut off for CAT exam, but the candidate should have cleared it.
  3. CAT is considered as the eligibility criteria because it is a government mandate that the student should appear for the registered exams like CAT, GMAT, SNAP, etc.
  4. However, candidates stand a chance to get the spot offer if the candidate is among the top 10 percent of the candidates based on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT out of all the candidates who appear in MICAT.
  5. Candidate must have completed the bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or by the association of Indian Universities.
  6. Candidate should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education 10+2+3 format.
  7. Candidates appearing in the final semester of graduation can also apply for the MICA admission process. But they will have to submit the certificate later during the admission process.
  8. Foreign Nationals and NRI category candidates are eligible only if they have valid scores in GMAT/CAT/XAT along with a valid foreign passport.
  9. General candidates should have obtained an aggregate of 50% in bachelor’s degree, and reserved candidates must achieve 45% in bachelor’s degree.
  10. There is no age bar for candidates appearing in the online entrance examination.
  11. Apart from the educational qualifications, candidates who demonstrate the aptitude for expressing, assessing, and conceiving ideas that make people go-getters and achieve the business results will have more chances of getting shortlisted.
  12. MICA doesn’t have any reservation policy, so for the admission in MICA, the candidate should clear the MICA admission selection process.
  13. The validity of MICAT entrance exam is for the current year only. Therefore, if the candidate is unable to take the admission in the current year, then the candidate should give the entrance exam again.
