i heard from admission office that they have 100 OC candidates in waiting list and 60 BC candidates in waiting list so far......

Hi, This is my first post. i got around 77 percentile. I got a call from BIM few weeks ago and i attended the GD and Interview. i have no work experience and i am a MBC category. i didnt get selected for the programme. Can anyone tell me the split up of the seats in BIM.

I'm posting this not because i'm a BIM'ite but just wanted to share some of the facts which I came to know by talking to my friend who is doing MBA in LIBA. Talking abt the Placements, BIM is far superior than LIBA in terms of its Median, Avg package and companies visiting campus. Also BIM overweighs LIBA in other parameters like Guest Lecture, Course Curriculum and Alumni network. Though LIBA has its presence in a Metropolitan, location does not add much value to your more coveted MBA degree, though it will help in fetching additional points in B-School Ranking Survey :-)

All the above mentioned info. are limited to the information available to me and in no way to persuade you.

many in tis thread hav compared BIM wit various institutes n discussed about it n am not sure i knw wel about stuf to join in those discussions.. but if comparin BIM n LIBA i am sure BIM is way better.. definitely

But according to last year trends, i think you will get through easily..

Anyone received mail from BIM?
Any idea when the 1st list will be announced?

And due to the extended application dead line, I guess the trend will differ from last year's.

I converted BIM(MBC Category).. But not joining :)
I know three other friends(MBC) of mine who converted BIM and not joining..

WL - 9 MBC is not bad...But considering what ampsk is saying that 4 of them are not gonna take it up, you stand a good chance. I was in MBC - 7 WL last year and converted. I think it went upto 10 last year. Not sure though...
