i think everyone get w/l .
noone is rejected .
he must put wrong id

NOway yaar...!! jst hav a look at some common statistics .. we all know the call was in 1:8 ratio.. so for oc seats of 38 there must have been around 300 students who got the call... So is it possible to keep more then 250 students in waiting list...

WL-250 sounds odd for 38 seats..only fit for trains... those Who hav already got there W/L no are all within 100... so I guess it will be very well within 100....

i guess around 60 seats for oc .. not just 38..

no i m just saying that i havnt see anyone who is rejected in this thread.
first one of puy says that but after that he says he has putted wrong id.

please pys who is rejected come forward and give their id's.

I really don't have any idea abt what u ppl r talking abt...
As far my knowledge this year BIM Trichy called nearly 1500 ppl for GD/PI
(From 17th April - 26th April, Per Day 2 Batches, and in each batch atleast 80-100 ppl approx.)
Many havn't attended the GD/PI also...
How can u say that other than selected, all have a WL number...!!
BIM Trichy has 120 Seats, but as far as my knowledge 126 approx gets admission.
We will b Selected (from WL) only if the ppl already selected doesn't take admission..
So I believe, what we had to do we have done.. WL ppl, including me, has to depend on ur luck to get an admission.
So lets keep our fingers crossed for the Selection goes till our WL number...

Well that's obvious... But I wd like to correct u that BIM called around 960 candidates ,not 1500... Seniors have already conformed it in previous threads..

Hi puys,

I have been selected both in IIT Kanpur and BIM Trichy....(So in confusion)

Some1 please help me in knowing the best of the 2 insts.....

I heard both are almost same....I am adding the parameters that I know....

BIM:
Pros:
Good placements
Good faculty
Good ranking
Old institute(started in 1986)
Cons:
Dono (really)

IIT Kanpur:
Pros:
Brand name
Placements
Batch strength (very less)
more exposure
Cons:
not seperate insti
very new

I think locationwise both r in same postion
And BIM fees is more compared to IIT Kanpur

Puys pls pour you opinions abt this....

hey does anyone know the sc category waitlist movement last year..... also when is the college starting for 2010-12 batch??????????? also do waitlisted people get a mail stating their wait list no.??????

I too agree that BIM is a better institute....but, I want to know on what basis it is better than IIT Kanpur?

I can't believe BIM Trichy is better than IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur is one of the Top IITs in India. I believe The Brand Value of IIT Kanpur is higher than BIM. I believe the campusing senerio is also better... In addition to that IITs have better connections with other top universities of the world, the career prospect is also high.. One of my cousin Brother was studing in IIT Kanpur, now he has got a chance to do Phd from Havard University.. He is doing Great..
But it's solely ur decision to take, which u think is better for u..

Hai Puys today i called the admission office and found my waiting list number.... 49 in TN BC category..Practically ,I think I am out of the competition so going to target CAT 2010 ..All the best to rest of the Waitisted candidates...I think Wait list movement can go upto 30 for tis category .....

According to past experiance I hope BC WL 49 will get cleared....because out of 120 seats atleast 60 will be BC and i hope many wont turn up for admissions because of the CAT fiasco and delay in admissions in other institutes.....don't loose hope...In past BIM has called WL candidates and rejected candidates also, because there is no surity that all those who are in WL will turn up for the admissions if they get it...

From previous posts i cud see numbers rangin from 38 to 80.. pls clarify..!!

I am W/L 2 in OC category.....

I have also converted Nirma.... can someone suggest which will be the better one... tough all the rankings place nirma in a better position but those cant be believed.
