can any seniors reply to my previous question ? the seats in one category be allocated to other category, if unfilled ?

some ST seats may go un-filled.if it ll be allocated to other category that wud be useful for aspiring candidates (my 100th post after 4 years in PG)

Hey do you feel that wait list movement for BC move .... Most of the persons were not sure about their percentile when they wrote CAT this time unlike the last year's CAT where people can calculate their percentile soon after their test and apply for suitable colleges ...And very few institues had their application last date postponed to march(after the result) and BIM is one such institute.So i dont think comparing last year's waitlist this time would be plausible.This time even OC wait list movement will not be the same like last years ..the movement will be slow i guess:wow:

just got the letter from BIM (converted )

1) course starts on july 5
2) we have to confirm our seats by may 17.... (by telegram or fax or mail)
2) send a dd for 50k by may 20 may

Yes, I thought the same. This year the waitlist will hardly move I guess. Still, lets not loose our hope..!!

i feel otherwise..i hav been following waitlist movement of GIM too..arnd 100 nos cleared til date..and major movement was after results of CAT colleges were announced..the results was end of last movement during the GD/PI days..so i expect high movemen right after the last date for confirmation..

Dinesh @ waitlist 13 You have a hope man coz I think atleast TN BC waitlist movement will move upto 20 ...if possible 25 to 30 range but not more than that ...and mostly people will join this time coz they dont trust cat any more and the wait(for the results) which was worst this time .so they will try to join reputed institute this time itself rather than waiting for next CAT ...Those persons not taking up the seat and wait for the next CAT will be less infact it can be zero..So I believe there is no hope for poor souls like me with waitlist 49.I am not pessimistic but this is the fact ..:splat:

Just want to ask one simple question and I am selfish and sacred that's why I am asking.... In worst case scenario do u guys see any chance that WaitList - 4 will not get clear in general (OC) category.

Anshul i think you are kidding how can you expect waitlist 4 not cleared in OC category?

My Dear Friends ....
I have only BIM Trichy as my option ....
I think most of them how got selected might have this institute as the only good option in that case anything will happen will have to wait for 21st of may .. time will make things clear automatically ....

yaa.. evn i too feel(hope) dat der vl b better WL mvmt dis yr since da sale of applications closed after da declaration of results.. So all dose candidates who got high percentile got chance to apply nd da same r also eligible for top 15 institutes... so ders high chance dat majority of da BIM call getters also got cals frm better institutes... nd results of dose wer not declared wen BIM had its GDPI.. Also another reason bein increase in number of seats in IIMs (2 new), NITIE nd som top 15 colleges.. So lets hope dat nothin goes wrong nd der wil b huge mvmt in da WL.. be optimistic nd keep ur cool pals

I am at WL 8 (OC). High chances? And what about the Specialization? Will i get what i want or will i have to settle for something they give me?
