Have any of the puys Selected/WLed by BIM got final offers from IIM-Indore?
Don't select colleges just on the basis of rankings..as each of these rankings show a different order..
Do some research from ur part.. go through their websites..get to know about their placement details, infrastructure, exposure etc.. talk to the seniors.. that'll help u..
Anyone can tell u that TAPMI is better or BIM is better..but that is according to their perspectives..
It is upto YOU to make ur final decision.. so do it on ur own basis..
have sent a PM to imaya24....
@sunku47 and @partha,
I have enquired here in UBI about the education loan(Excel education loan). they are giving it at 8.5% ROI till 4 lacs and arnd 9% ROI till 7.5 lacs.. The collateral thing is not needed tjough it completely depend on the Branch manager. It is also available all over india i suppose. Hi partha i will be also enquiring it in orissa.
Thanks a lot dude.
1.I went to submit my acceptance letter and the DD for 50K .I was fortunate enough to have only a single person in the admissions office to address my concern while everyone else were on leave
2. No acknowledgment was given for the same. When i enquired about the fee details, i was told that it will be revealed in the mid of june and of course we will be intimated.
3. I then went to hostel which resembled a typical government quarters. Going by the securitys statement, there will be four persons in a mix of 3 south Indians and 1 north Indian (seniors may confirm the reliability of this info). The room looked quite comfortable .
4. I happened to meet dinesh whos also joining BIM for the MBA programme 2010-12 . Also we tried to meet some of the seniors who were staying in the hostel for their interns with the help of security but it ended in vain.
5. This is the second time Im entering the BIM premises- the first one for my interview, but this time with a different mentality, attitude, mindset, body language with my head held high- the reason was quite simple but formidable two years down the line, Im going to be in the vast network of thousands of alumnus of this famous institution
.6. Considering the distance btwn college and hostel and the fact that trichy is a dry and sultry place, a bike would be preferred at any cost.(If not for my friends bike, it would have been a hectic task for me in completing the formalities, thats an altogether different story).
Extra Titbits:
7. Being located at the centre of Tamilnadu, Trichy is literally the transit point across the north-south and east-west corridor within the state. So when it comes to transport, umpteen number of choices are available.
8. For those who have issues and concerns about location and language, kindly take the people and culture into consideration. As far as my knowledge goes, there had been no incident in the category of being-thrown-out-of-running-train or being-murdered-in-the-public-place-at-noon or for that matter, any kind of major anti social activities in the recent past. This is told not to boast about the city but to add values to BIM.
9. When it comes to bravery and architecture, it is believed that Cholas are far superior than their counterparts. If kallanai is taken as an epitome, brihadeeswar temple at tanjore can be considered as a pinnacle in this regard.(No offence meant to anyone- mind you, I hail from the region of pandiyas :|. Chola- Not a jargon but a big dynasty which was based at trichy).
10. On a relative note, trichy is one city where I hadnt got much opportunity to roam around. So looking forward to the same in the near future.
Apologies in advance, if the above post is too lengthy to read, but I believe not so..

Hi,
As far as hostels r concerned its not necessarily a mix of 3 south indians n 1 north indian..however d hostel authorities try 2 ensure tht there is a diverse mix of students in every "house"..yes, our hostels r calld houses..it a 2 BHK quarter(4 students per house)....n most of d time d 4 students will b frm diffrnt backgrounds/states/culture etc....

ramya2112 SaysHi..can anybody post the acceptance letter format please???
It is a simple formal letter where you state that you are accepting your seat/waitlist. Give a brief centre-aligned snapshot of your details : Name,BIM Appln No.,CAT TR No.,DoB and Decision (these were the ones which I gave). Conclude the letter saying you are attaching the DD for Rs.50k/5k and the code of conduct document.

Batch 27 fees
To inform you all i just called up today to the addmission departent and asked about the total fees, is it been increased as compared to last batch or not. They answered that it is still not decided and it will finalised around 1st week of june. Now this is very important while choosing between two same ranked college.
If there's an increase in fees,it would be difficult !!
@ Seniors..
I thought of going in person to BIM to give the DD. But when I called them today to know if the office is functioning, no one attended the call. Perhaps all the office staff are on leave today. So I've decided to go to BIM on Monday(17th May). Can U please let me know whether the office is functioning on Monday or not.

no worries.hand written is enough
Hey puys.. I have been selected for BIM. I have some doubts to be cleared:
1) Did u guys get a reply for the acceptance mails that u sent to BIM?
2) I have sent a DD, code of conduct signed document and printed acceptance letter. Should I send anything more? Should the acceptance letter be hand-written only?
