i am from hyderabad and the dates for gd pi are given as 14-21 march
should i have to be present at tiss all the days or i would be notified about the dates on which i am scheduled on ??

your gd pi will be for one day only. u will have to stay only for tat day. once tat is done u r free to leave

No the GD is traditionally NOT an elimination round here...
Ok here are a few announcements from the batch of HRM 9/11
Once we are done with our fest Manthan on the 7th of Feb... We are going to "mentor" 10 people each and guide them through the GD/PI process.... Do not take the word mentor too seriosly... We will basically help you out as much as we can... Rite now all of you are requested to update your details in the googlesheet so tht we have a rough idea about how many people wish to be a part of this process...

Im not a senior, but am taking the liberty of answering this question. Please correct if im wrong!!
TISS never differentiates on the basis of any criteria. It believes in giving everyone equal opportunity. as seen in the recent withdrawal of academic performance as a criteria of evaluation.
TISS has been clashing with JMET for the last two years (I dont know before that), so Engineers have this IIT fixation.. So most engineers prefer giving JMET as compared to TISS..
But then again, the Ones who do appear for TISS prefer the HRM course. (General statement, exceptions do exist)
Probably thats why you didnt find any one of a similar profile there..
Who knows, maybe youll be the first Engineer in your course!!

that can help in case study things
Boss im no genius in this matter,
But im a management studies graduate, and i believe reading up on BMS/ BBA textbooks of HR would be the simplest way to assimilate the most important topics.
We used to have Vipul Prakashan text books... The case studies were quite lucid, and as there were always detailed definitions given at the end of each chapter, we never had to read the books cover to cover toi get basic gyaan!!

But this can be used only to pass exams, dont try this for your interview!!

Can anyone pls let me know whats the latest update on daf, i mean is it delayed or was it available only on the 28th? If it was available only on the 28th, can anyone kindly mail me a copy at . I will try to contact TISS as well. Thx

n it wil stay there as long as the admin procedure is on..

It says the Batch strength for 2008-09 Summer Placements was 64, and batch size or final placements was 60...
But i read somewhere on this thread that the ongoing batch size is around 54...
Which is the correct number??
And the 4 people who have been excluded... Did they opt out/ get PPOs/ failed to meet the criteria for placements??

batch 2007-09 which finally graduated in yr 2009 was placed fully and was of size 60
batch 2008-10 which is graduating this yr i.e. 2010 is of size 64 and their plcmnt is on...
batch 2009-11 (ours) will graduate in yr 2011. we are a batch of 48, though initial offers were 55....(hv already mentioned abt this earlier)
by god's grace, nobody fell out of plcmnts procedures and plcmnts this yr will be a happy story too. n our batch has been placed for summers fully...
