Has anyone received any mail for the TISS admin regarding the score or dates for the GD/PI?What do we fill in the form in the dates section?

can anyone list out a set of positive weaknesses..tht can b counted as strength also...e.g impatience,workaholic,perfectionist etc

Guys please b patient, the seniors have a lot on their respective plates as it is...
It is a HUGE deal that they are willing to mentor us anyways..
Lets not be too demanding, and lets try and mould ourselves according to their conviniences rather that the other way round...

Called up the TISS people today! They said the GD/PI dates will be declared on the 12th!

22nd Feb, last time i checked...
Might get extendd, as everything else got delayed...
Go ahead and fill the rest of the form..
Only the GD/PI date part is awaited...

Right from day long gruelling business case studies and management-union 'wars' to thoughtful quizzes and an adroit display of talent in singing and dancing competitions, coupled with some great insights from the role model Sukhwinder Singh , finally rounded off by a soulful performance by indo-fusion band Advaita, the event was enjoyed by one and all!! sorry to say, kaloobhai if that were the answers then what is the use of asking question from u guys?.we can find these answers anywhere..............
if filling the forms is a task......... every one could have done that in someway or the other............i' mean if u guys would not have been there everyone would have done that in his/her way.......with no matter what will come in their way.
but since,u guys are here............so the expectations are high........everyone wants to send a good profile along with some what genuine answers for the questions.
each and every aspirant needs correct pathway.....which u all can show them.........so,plz.give somewhat detailed answer of why tiss and why hr?.............
u must not give us so-so information.................we need to know what were your answers..........so that we can make our answers according to our situation and condition..........

Dude. Get real. We are not here to tell you the mantra to get through TISS, because there is none. Everyone has their own individual reasons to get into TISS and why they want to get into HR. Why do you want TISS or why would you want to do HR should be based on your personal preferences. I am sure you have a reason, otherwise you wouldn't have filled the form in the first place! Its like asking what do you look for in a partner ? What you look for is different from what I look for, and we both are right in our reasoning.What we have provided is a basic framework and structure of what you are expected to include, and that we feel should suffice. If you need any specific info about TISS or HR which can help you write the SOP better, we are willing to provide you the same.

Well now that Manthan is over, can we please start with the "Mentorship Program?"
I guess all of us are waiting for some serious gyaan!!
Obviously i understand u might be busy with other activities too, but we would be nowhere without your help.
Atleast i personally dont know anyone from TISS.
Boss, seriously, if you need any help in coordinating these sessions, and you want to get some work done like collecting information, preparing GD/PI notes etc, im always here... Im on a break right now, and not working...
So i have all the time in the world to devote to my (and others') GD/Pi activities...

And Fellow aspirants, lets please be more active on this thread and start our sessions with a Bang!!

can any1 tell me y hasnt TISS given out any kind of scores. I was rejected bt still wd like to knw my score fr any further improvement. If any1 knws hw to chk the SCORE plz reply. I was expecting that i wud get thru bt I havent. :banghead::splat:

kudos on conducting such a wonderful event.. hope to be a part of it next yr...

on the prep side, got a few queries..

i read a few pages back here that the GDs are mostly HR based.. need a bit of clarification on that...

-are they case study based or topic based? or there's no pattern followed?
-are they like XL PMIR gds, where you have to assign priorities to the solutions already given to the case study?
-will the case studies given need knowledge of any HR based topics.. if so can you point out a few topics we wud be glad to divide them among ourselves and dig and share the topics...

also, can you pls help us with the gd pi dates as such we do not have any idea what they are and how and when wud we come to know of them..

and the last one :D
#3 Would it be a bad idea to get the SOP as printout as it wud be a separate sheet as it is..

@ saradindu...As i have posted one page back, TISS admin ha ssaid it'll put up the GD-PI dates on the 12th of this month! So hold your horses :D

And re SOP..well it doesn't matter...atleast that's what the TISS admin has informed me!

@ Seniors..really need your help on the format & content of the biographical sketch..!
