My GD-PI is scheduled on 16 of march .I am an HR enthusiast from Pune.Can all the PG TISS hrm call getters plan a meet so that we can have a broad discussion on GD-PI probable topics and the overall holistic approach we have to take in order to make it to Tiss.Digressing from the topic i am of the opininon that this year with the IIMs screwin themselves prettty bad its a gr8 opportunity for us to get a gr8 specialization with TISS.if everybody is game can we have a meetin people.i ahve referred to a few HR books and found them to be quiet interesting and believe me people it is a myth that HR sucks and is not filled with opportunities .So Puys are u game ?????

I am game for the meet. let me know where and wen I will PM u my number nd name. I know a few other people who have got a call from tiss from pune so will get them along.

no one knows for sure how many calls are given out this time
most people estimate it to be around 500 and total seats are 60
so it should be aorund 1:10

yup its an SOP. go through page number 30 to 35 people have mentioned wat one can write in the biographical sketch

Last year was waitlisted and could not convert.
Hope for better finish this time.
Puys from Bangalore if u'l hav ur GD\PI scheduled on the 18'th of march then maybe we can plan our travel together.

The GD was based on a case study about a lady and her situation.
The case was like her boss gives his mail password so that she could
reply to an important client email since he was travelling and
couldn't reply and it was very urgent.But when she does login into his
mail box she see's a chain of emails which had discussion about
her.They had a party sometime back and all were trying hit on her and
who got her an stuff like that.so we were asked to discuss taking her
role and decide if she had to complain or speak to the boss etc etc.
PI was Very demanding about 30 minutes
(But few others had it only for abt 10-15 minutes too,so it depends)

How did u come to know abt TISS ?
Why HR from TISS ?
Was asked about the HR Dept in my office
abt there Functionality and the number of ppl in HR dept there roles
and educational qualifications etc etc..(Grillled for abt 10 minutes
on the same topic)
Which area of HR you want to specialze in ??
What is normalisation(w.r.t Performance Evaluation) and is it Good or
bad ?
Long term Goals, Short Term Goals..
Finally... i was given a role and asked to justify
I am suppose to be the Head of an Terriosist Organisation and i have
to recruict a SUICIDE BOMBER, what are the qualifications i will look
for in him and how will i freeze on a particular person....

1:15 is very unlikely to happen.I guess it would be around 1:8 or 1:7.It all depends on how many people are called for the GD/PI.
-btw I am in the process of writing my Biographical sketch and filling the DAF.Thanks to kaloobhai 😃
