I have my GD/PI on 15 March..Anybdy from bangalore in same session, pm me..we can have discussions on the gd/pi process and if possible accompanying in journey..
any idea..how many ppl they have called for gd..as it looks there is a single time in d day for gd..so i guess there will be multiple batches running simultaneously...and it goes from 15 i guess....
which is last date any puy have got for GD..
We havn't yet recieved our score card...Is there any possibility of getting or it will not be issued as last year...

OK,I called up TISS and I asked the GD/PI timings ,they told me 8.30 AM as reporting time and the GD will start at 9.00 AM followed by PI.
This is what they told me ,If you want to know what time slot you are in call TISS or wait until they upload the timetable.
And people living nearby TISS or willing to submit the DAF personally at TISS can submit it @ the institute itself personally,No need to speed post(We can travel faster than speed post in this case :P).

I am thinking of handwriting mine too, it's just that it'll take up more space! And i've kept the 'why hr & tiss' part out of the bio sketch! And re ending troubles

i have a problem,i m an obc candidate and they want a recent certificate along with creamy layer certificate...........till10 th march. the authorities are saying that it will take more than a month to make a new one.............what should i do..........can i submit the old certificate now and then at the time of admission i will sumit the new ones............plz. reply sir........if u can give some information by talking to admin people..........as they r not responding........
@ambrish..try and contacting TISS admin on Monday! They will be the best people to help you out! And don't worry, everything will be sorted out!
Though last year, but i appeared for the GD/ PI for SE program at TISS. I can apprise you of the process...and that should give some direction.
The GD process were pretty muck like factual/contextual ones. The discussion in my panel was 'Does globalization and international terrorism grow hand in hand or one could curb the other'.
Note that the GD process was not an elimination round.
My PI didnt go anyway exciting and by the time it culminated i felt i could speak more.
I thoroughly researched about the SE sector..(projects, distinguished contributions in the field like grameen bank, giveindia etc). And i would recommend that to you too.
The PI was a very light interaction between me and the 4 panelists. They gauged into my profile, academics, my general awareness et al and then finally asked me 'why SE'?
I didnt clear the process eventually and that is primarily because i feel i could not convince them why i want to be a social entrepreneur at such an early stage of my career.
Social entrepreneurship is not a money driven profession, rather it is not a profession at all. I would strongly suggest you to build a concrete plan and strategy for 'Why SE' and Why now'..

Also, this time I guess there isn't a GD round for SE specified in the brochure, so since you mentioned you DID have a GD, wondering whether they're going to hold one. Let me know if the GD you gave was for SE.

Why SE - I'm convinced about it, wondering how to convince them.
Why IT to SE - Can manage this
SE Ventures and my interests in any of them and why
Anything else I need to look into? What about the Business Plan? You didnt get through, but do you have any clue about it?
Oh, and what kind of General Awareness did they question you about?

I had to take the exam in banaglore instead of hyderabad due to the cancellation of the center.One day before the exam,they re-instated the center!
I still took the exam in banaglore but i am doubtful of my results.
