Hand written or printed..ki farak padta hai? If it's been copied from the net It'll be quite clear to the panel!
I'll also be attaching printouts because I don't want the panel to go looking for a magnifying glass just to read my profile :P:lookround:
Biographical sketch has to be hand written ..or print out will work...

When asked about Biosketch proforma, TISS people replied both are accepted be it handwritten or Printout, it is completely your decision, but whatever you do, give original and valid thoughts about self which you are quite comfortable to deal with in the interview,
The score pattern is 70 in Personal interview and not 70 for Biosketch.
If selected then after two years we have to take numerous decisions, so whats the fuzz about this silly Printout/handwritten stuff. Be mature guys and gals.

Puys is it necessary to send DAF by Speed Post.Can I send my DAF by Courier earlier i have send my form by courier coz i have no faith in speed post so i am planning to send it by courier will there be any problem in sending by courier.

I have a query. I read somewhere that if you have applied for more than 1 course in TISS, the PI panel grills you badly on this and they ask you the reasons behind applying for 2 different courses. Some also said that this shows that the candidate is not clear about what he wants and puts a negative impact on the panel.
I have applied for HRM and Globalization and labor. Though my first love is HR, after reading the prospectus, I was pretty impressed by the curriculum and the fact that it(Glob. & Lab) is affiliated by ILO, and I decided to take it as the second option. Everybody tries to have a plan B. so whats wrong in applying for 2 different courses? How do i justify my decision?
Looking for some quick replies as I have to send the DAF in day or 2.

Can sumone tell me about what kinda jobs do HRM guys land up?what are the placements ,packages and opportunities offered to them?i know tokin about placements is not gud at this stage but i guess this is a part of complete package
HRM guys land up jobs as Good as any other field.
Maybe paid a LITTLE less than Marketing/ finance guys, but that trend is changing too..
profiles could vary from Training and developemt, recruitment, payroll management, employee grievance cell, staffing and hiring consulting, etc....
yaar you have every right to worry about placements, no worries...
Hi puys you must be busy digging all such points that you think will make your candidature stronger than others.
But just for a few minutes leave it and hv a look at this YouTube - Making of Manthan 2008, I am sure you'll work harder once you see where this work's gonna land you.

This has happened before in TISS.
You will be surprised to see the efficiency..
everything goes on so smoothly, the panel, the mentors, everyone will help you out..

The website says Speed post or Registered post only. and no other mode will be entertained. But i had sent my application form via courier, and it was accepted without hassles.
So its your call. Ill Hand deliver it to TISS!!!

You will be grilled for sure, but you should be able to justify your reasons for applying to either program.
then no worries. Your Preference between the 2 courses will be a major question.
Any why you choose former over the latter should be clear to you.

Essentially you profile is just a paragraph on your current job responsibilities, and roles..
with a very brief introduction to your academic qualifications.

just to point out the thing that though entire form is to be filled with pen, 'extra sheets' are asked for the imp things like why hr, bio sketch and profile... so printouts wud be attached with the rest of the filled out form.. :sneaky:
well no one is sayin that you cant send a print out but in my opinion i think a hadnwritten application will be more better than a print out as it gives a personal touch to your application and it shows that you have taken efforts to personally write the essay urself.
but in the end its your choice whether u want to send a handwritten or a print out so u can decide wat ever u feel is best

hey 263 is fine. I dont think they will be counting each and every word that you have written. approximately it should be 250 plus minus 20- 25 words should not be a problem
hi friends.....in DAF, in the list of enclosures we have been asked to submit PROFILE written on plain paper (11 th point)....can sum1 plz explain me wat it means?
and wat we have to write in Q17..if we dont have working-ex in HR field....i m basically a lecturer in dental college...plz help.

profile is somethg ur work like...what all thgs constitute ur working day..be it academics...work..social activitites..

i didnt say that a print out means the essay is copied. i was jus sayin that a handwritten essay gives a better impression than a typed one but well thats my opinion it depends from person to person 😃

hey..am in a fix :-??...in the SSC column of the DAF page number 2, what should i fill in the year attended column-- 10 year like 1995 to 2005 or only one year 2004-2005 (for 10th class only?) I think it;s teh former, but then in the marks column we have to fill the marks we got in 10th! Can somebody HELP? 😁
