Hey guys wanted to know whether we have special accommodation facilities for married students .I know this is a fully residential program and if married couple are allowed to stay in campus then it's great.
Otherwise can such students arrange an accommodation outside the campus ?
Please provide pukka information !

For people who have converted SIBM and are expecting colleges who declare results late like JBIMS, is there an option to cancel after college starts? Will there be any refund if we cancel then?
Cancellation occurs till 15th june. By that time you can apply incase you convert somewhere "better"....
But just check with the admin personnel... it might be 30th june as well.....

NO there is no accomodation for married students....
Hostels are compulsory and outside accomodation will not be allowed....
am sorry but you have to stay without your spouse....
i know a very good friend of mine who is in the same situation as you but cant do anything about it...

Ask your spouse to give SNAP & convert SIBM too next year, then you guys ll be together atleast for an year

It is also stated that pre-induction portal will be launched on 21st April. But I have not received any user id or password for that. Lets see what happens today.

Yes you can arrive on 5th...4th if you like...
rooms will be pre-allotted .... so all you need to do is drive st. to the hostel and check in with the security...
they will direct you to your room after all necessary formalities are completed...
No accomodation on campus for any family member or relative....

The portal is not updated.It says the session would begin from 7th June 2010.
So our session is definitely gonna commence on 6th June. :)

Regarding the laptop is SIBM going to help students buy the laptops like SIBM-B is doing (Bulk buy - cheaper individually) or do we have to buy on our own?

It is better that you bring a laptop on your own...
but in case many of you do not have a laptop... then the college will organise for a bulk deal...
last yr... we were asked whether we needed a bulk deal... but almost everyone had a laptop.... so it wasnt necessary...
P.S. one humble request.... SIBM bangalore is in no way connected to us, what they do is immaterial to our course of lives....so please dont expect anything to happen at SIBM-P if it happens in any other college on the planet...
