I also wish more time was provided to the candidates on the first shortlist. Even though I will try my butt off, it seems far fetched for me to assume I'll get so much money at such short notice. And why such a huge installment at such a short notice? Id gladly pay for the material sibm provides and any other such things. But why charge three lakh forty thousand extra? Do they assume every student will have so much money at short notice? If I get admission somewhere better and sibm doesnt release this exorbidant amount in time Il again miss out?
I think I deserve to get a seat at sibm. Worked hard for it and got a convert. But just because I cannot manage such a huge amount in such a short period, sibm will deem me unworthy of the seat I worked hard for. Harsh truths of life. Its a business. And sibm is the ONLY bschool that makes lesser fortunate candidates like me suffer with early dates. I cant take a loan from any relative. I fend for myself. My ability to come up with money so soon, and not my calibre will finally decide my fate :[

Why is the college stressing for early admissions?? Many colleges have not even started their GDPIs including IIMs and IITs ??
Why is the induction fee of Rs 30000 non refundable when AICTE has clear cut rules that only 1000 rupees are to be deducted after cancellation of admission ?
Why the college wants the students to pay 375000 even before many colleges have not disclosed their results ?? Is it for the more bank interest before returns ??
I dont think this is ethical. Can the college authorities and student representatives reply to this query ??

I absolutely agree to this post.Forfeiting 31000 for a single call is a bit too much. Esp for people having multiple calls whose interviews are not even over. I wish I had known this clause before.:splat:

That would depend on how many guys do not opt for their seat. The wait list would move accordingly. There will be guys like Shashank, bolbum etc who have calls from the likes of XL, FMS etc who will definitely not take the seat. And I'm following this thread even though I wasn't shortlisted for the GD-PI 😞 From what I've read so far, the second list converts will have only a week to arrange for the fees. Best of luck! :D
Hi, I read in a previous post by shourya, that for a WL -38, the conversion would be in 2nd/3rd list.
I am 17 on waiting ? Will i be in first list or not so that I know how much time I have to deposit the money.

Apart from the 3,75,000 INR that we need to submit before 7th of March, Is there any other formality to be completed? Basically, do we have to send the attached undertaking to SIBM or anything?????? In other words, Is the undertaking to be submitted now or during the final admission???

no am sorry but no merit list is published as such from SIBM-P..... individual calls are handed out to the lucky few..... all these are in the hands of the admin... even ART gets to know after you guyz do...

last time we got a composite score along with our official letter... it was out of 150(of which weightage for snap was 20).....
i dont think you guyz have been intimated of any such scores in your letter... even if there is a chance that you guyz get to know a score...it might be in your hard copy which will be mailed to you.... even then....it will probably be only a composite score (that is if at all you get to know)...
Guys, for those interested in loans, I found this on the SBI website. They have a scholar loan where SIBM Pune features in the list of eligible institutions for which the loan can be taken. Online application can also be made as I see it there. Rate of Int - 11% as on date.

i can say only about my process.... we were asked to just submit the check with our names and no. written on the back.... then they sent a receipt afterwards... we were not asked to submit anything at the very onset...
for your batch i dont think it should be any different... but just to be sure check your admit letter once again.... if anything is needed....it should be mentioned there...
