1) Online registration first 2) You have to apply separately for XLRI 3) No. It is not compulsory. 4) 900 is only for the test. Every institue will have its own fees
The Rs 900 is for taking the XAT exam. Once you do that you can apply to any college that is accepting XAT scores. Each college will have its own fees. For applcation rates for XLRI (if you decide to apply) are 1000 for one program and 1600 for 2 or 3 programs.
According to the XAT website, you have to select which institutes you want to send the scores to.
Now, SP Jain accepts CAT as well as XAT scores. So should one ideally send both XAT and CAT scores to SP Jain, or send only one of these?
The process is a little bit confusing, so if any one who has applied previously can elaborate, it would be really good.
You CAN send both XAT and CAT and (if you have taken it) GMAT scores too. The Ad Com will take the best of the lot at SP Jain. But also remember simply checking the SP Jain box on XAT app means nothing, it only allows XLRI to send your XAT scores to SP Jain. You anyway have to SEPARATELY apply for SP Jain. and Fill in your scores when they open the apps, after the results are out.
the xat notification states after one has paid online... take a printout of the XAT PP form and send it to XLRI office along with the transaction receipt . Now what reciept is this? i saw one at the time of registration, but now when i login again they just have my details... no txn. receipt to be seen?
I would like to ask one short query. While sending the form, what should we do with XLRI's Pay-In-Slip?
1) Just keep it in envelope. 2) Stick it in given area with Fevi-Stick. 3) Attach it using stapler. 4) None of these (I'd kill you if you select this option 😛 )

Hi there, I am an Final year appearing candidate and applying to XAT. I've heard dat XLRI takes only the students with a work-ex and nice academic record. But I've an avg. academic record and no work-ex since I am appearing candidate. But I am quite sure that I'll score good in XAT since I am good in aptitude and english. So, my query is ---Should I apply for XLRI or it will be simply the waste of money for me even if I score good in XAT?

In the work ex. section, we are supposed to fill work ex. for each company in terms of start date and end date. How are we supposed to fill it for the company we're currently working in?? As in, what should be the end date??

The XAT window is for giving XAT exam. Consider it like a window to apply to different colleges that are under XAT.
Now XLRI is one such college that is under XAT. If you want to apply for XLRI then use the option of XLRI registration else just leave it...and continue.

Beat that !! Further in the interview stage unlike other colleges, XL interview is of 30-45 minutes and you have ample time to make your point. If you have the ability you will make it thru anyways !!

Hey puys, While i was registering for XLRI, i encountered a problem. In the section for permanent address the PIN field was taking the value of the state field.(Say, it was taking the value DELHI and not 110063). It was a technical problem. I didn't notice it and submitted my final application. Later on, when i realized it, i called up the customer care executives and they fixed the technical error. However, i am unable to change the value of the PIN field now as i had submitted my application before the problem was resolved. What should i do now? Will my application be rejected?
