@onomyst There is no need to worry.. you can send the form now, they'll accept it. The same thing happened to me last year.

1. yes getting xat form 4m axis bank is cheaper by 50 not 75 if m not wrong !!
2. yes u need 2 apply separately 4 xlri.........cost depends on de no. of courses u r applying 4 !!

for ximb the cost for last yr was 1000..they havnt startd their registration yet...

I made online payment for XAT registration. But could not send the PP form within 7days. Made registration on 4th, sending today...Would my application be cancelled. Wont they allow me to sit for the exam?
Also I signed in the PP form with blue pen. Its clear and legible. Is there any restrictions about the color? Like do I have to do with black ink or something like that we often have in CAT?

please let me know that in the xat prospectus and xlri prospectus there are two spaces where i guess we have to attach the pay-in slips that we downloaded.but i cannot understand which one to paste where .there are two pay-in slips that i downloaded.i am done with the remaining form filling but cannot send because of this problem.please help.

"The candidate has to enclose the duly completed XLRI PA Form and photo copies of 10th, 12th and graduation certificates (or latest mark sheet of papers/years completed till date) and SC/ST certificate (for SC/ST candidates only) through courier/registered post/speed post in the special envelope given inside the prospectus."
In order to get the special envelope i need to have xlri prospectus :-(
is it ok if i send the docs to xlri in normal envelope ??

u can send the form in a normal envelope.I have also applied online and have sent in a normal envelope.

I was not able to contact the helpline myself.But one of my friends confirmed that we have to send it in normal post.
In one of the previous posts in this thread also someone informed we have to send it through normal envelope.Just go through the previous posts once.

Nowhere does it say that the special envelope has to be used... you dont even have to send the form inside the brochure that'll be sent to you.
Yes, if you have made the payment through Axis Bank, then you need to use the special form/envelope.
Same procedure for XLRI registration as well. 😃

because generally XAT does not give what would be the total no of questions or negative marking before the exam....
DO NOT think about the pattern..and i doubt whether this is an authentic piece of info...XAT rarely ever reveals its pattern..and in the past few years there has been NO GK section..and the sections are probably mentioned in the prospectus..i am not sure though..but unless mentioned on the official website or the brochure..do not believe any speculations abt the pattern..its usually VA/RC ..AR/DM ...QA/DI...these are usually the sections...and the number of questions last year was 101 or 104 or the likes..but 200 questions seems improbable...and just prepare ur basics..any number of questions or whatever be the pattern..its the same for all..so dont think abt it too much..

I sent an email to xat office asking the same thing, this was their reply -
Kindly dispatch the forms in 2 separate tamper proof envelops to avoid any kind of damage to the documents.

XAT exam is of 140 minutes and consists of 200 objective type questions and an essay of 250-300 words. Objective questions are asked from the following sections:
Reading Comprehension / English: This section contains 80 questions, including passage for reading comprehension. This section tests student's vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, and jumbled sentences.
Reasoning and Quantitative Ability: This section consists of 60 questions

All these sections are allotted a time of 40 minutes each. For every correct answer a candidates gets 1 mark and 1/3 marks is deducted for an incorrect answer. In the remaining 20 minutes candidates are supposed to write an essay of 250-300 words on a given topic.
Ok here is my obervation, ppl here are getting worried unnecessarily, first of all, the site does not seem very credible. All it has done is take some old XAT paper and predict based on that, They have taken XAT 2004 as reference.
XAT 2004 had 80 VA/RC, 60 QA and 60 GK questions, the time given was 120+20(essay)=140 minutes, marking scheme was +3/-1, And this is exactly wat has been written in this website. The author has written this article before the notification without doing proper research.
