i chose online mode of payment for XLRI registration.
the thing is that wen i entered my details, i did not have the credit card details, so i entered my basic information details and then logged out.
later when i logged in, it asked for my credit card details for the payment. i was able to do that but again when i log into my XLRI registration account, it still shows me the same payment gateway window.
the window is the one with the TRY AGAIN button at the bottom
why is that so?
its not an issue if you did not select ximb in xat application...you can still apply for ximb

Contact the XAT help desk and tell them about your problem.
Probably you will have to do the registration again.
how can I check my application status for XAT?? I didn't recieved any mail from XLRI for recieving my application. But Speed-post website shows that it must have been recieved.

3) From where I can get the tranaction receipt?

You can not send both the forms in one envelope; special envelope is nothing but a courier envelope.
The PP/PA form itself is the payment receipt.

hey guys made a mistake while selecting the courses of XLRI i ticked GMP which is course for working executive...but i have no work experience...will it cause any problem during selection in other two courses FPM and BM( if i made it into XLRI) pls help me...
in my online application(+payment) for XLRI, i mistakenly gave generall management as 3rd preference.
i m a fresher and not eligible....
what do i do now?

@prash9 I made the same mistake, infact I put GMP as a 2nd priority, I mailed the Xat guys, and got a reply saying
1. The system will not allow any changes once submitted.
2. I will be eligible for the other 2 programs viz. BM & HRM.

1. Both the forms have to be sent to different addresses. So, you have to send them in different envelopes.
2. The "special envelope" is the one present in the prospectus. Which will be sent to you after your form reaches XLRI. So basically you have to send the form in a normal envelope.
3. I took the printout of the page which showed that my transaction is completed, and displayed the Transaction ID etc. If they say that the PP/PA form itself is the receipt payment, then i don't think you are required to send those pages.

I realized my mistake and thus havent bought the prospectus yet. Is there a way i can correct my mistake online?

Step by step guide for XAT 2011 successful registration :)
The registration process for the XAT 2011 entrance examination is going on. The registration process started on September 1, 2010 and the last date for sending your application is Tuesday, November 30, 2010.
The important thing to note is that the first step towards registration is to register yourself at the XAT official website, www.xlri.net.in, and then only you can obtain the XAT bulletins from the select Axis Bank branches.
Register online: When you visit the website, you have to click on 'XAT Registration'. In the registration page, you have to fill up the online form for XAT registration. "The information to be provided includes personal details and payment option details," says XLRI.
XAT ID and Password: After the successful registration, you will receive your XAT Username and Password through email. You will have to retain the username and password for further correspondence with XAT office.
Complete the registration form: When you receive your username and password, you have to login through that to the XAT website and complete the registration form with the education details.
Select XAT Associate Institutes: You have to select the XAT Associate Institutes which you wish to apply for.
XAT pay-in-slip: You will have to download and print the XAT pay-in-slip which will contain the date of registration, name of the Axis Bank branch, XAT pay-in-slip number, XAT ID, name, address and phone number of the candidate printed on the slip. "The printed pay-in-slip is in three parts. You have to take all these three parts of the pay-in-slip to the Axis Bank branch," XLRI mentions.
Go to Axis Bank Branch: You have to go to the Axis Bank branch with the XAT pay-in-slip and pay Rs. 900 to obtain the XAT 2011 bulletin. "The bank will issue a XAT Bulletin 2011 and enter the XAT Bulletin number, date of purchase and Bank Tran ID and put a bank seal on each part of the pay-in-slip," XLRI states.
Detachable form of XAT bulletin: You will get a detachable form with the XAT bulletin. "All entries are to be filled-in correctly and should be same as that filled in the online form," XLRI says. You will also have to attach your recent passport size photograph and sign in the given space.
Attach Pay-in-slip: You have to then attach the XAT pay-in-slip in the space provided on the form. You should also preserve your copy of the pay-in-slip for future references.
Send form to XAT office: You have to detach the form from the XAT Bulletin and send it to XAT office within seven days of buying the XAT Bulletin. You will have to send the form along with the pay-in-slip.
Admit Card: You will receive the Admit Card from Saturday, December 18, 2010 to Friday, December 31, 2010. You will have to download it from the XAT website. "Take a print out of the same where the address of the test centre will be mentioned," XAT mentions.

doux Saysif anybody remembers if we had to provide a secondary email while filling the online form,kindly reply.
Well, No... I just re-registered for XAT 2011 ( re-registered cuz like most of us, even i made the mistake in 10th qualification, now since i need to change it to CBSE, i registered again.) I have taken screenshots of all the forms required to be filled and none of them asks u for secondary/alternate email ID, though most of the other examination forms requires u to mention secondary email ID, XAT did not do that.
