guys, I have applied for XAT and X is the XLRI two months back.. i have couriered the documents also. But i havent receive any kind of communication from them.. what is the procedure from their side.
Please help.

Puys,

Is it necessary to include only the full time work-ex after completion of graduation? I did not find any statement saying so.

I had a back log in my last semester...so instead of the usual June-July time...my Graduation is completed in February of following year when I cleared my back log. However in those 8 months, I was working full time. So can I include those 8 months in my work-ex?

I did not include those 8 months for CAT because CAT clearly mentioned "full time paid work -ex after completion of graduation"
But i could not find any such compulsion in XAT instructions...as well as SNAP instructions.

So should i include those 8 months or not?


Repost...Does anyone have any idea about this?

Hi Puys,

Please clarify on this. I have filled up the XAT form did payment etc. Now on the final page from where I can download the PP form, there is blank against Select Institutes. I have checked the institutes and selected them while filling the form.

Is this the case with all of you or am having some problem with my form.

Please help.

Hi Puys,

After downloading the PP form and PA form, I realized that I have mentioned HSC for 10th and SSC for 12 in qualification which should be otherwise vice versa. Now is there an option to revert it? What should I do in this case please help.

yes that's the case with every one... u don't need to worry ... admission office said that it has been stored in their database... and in the form the column will remain blank...

write ur board name under qualification..... (icse, cbse, hsc)

Hey Puys,
I have finished my XAT registration and also sent the PA form. Now while registering for XLRI i chose BM programme alone, but i neither pressed submit nor made the payment. After a week i thought i will apply for both BM and PMIR and i logged in. To my surprise i am not able to make changes in my choice and directly leads to payment page for RS 1076(which is applicable for single program). Do any of you puys faced similar problem. Whats the solution for this.

i filled up the xat application form and also made payment.i later realized that i did not give my full name and only gave my first name(ie Arun without my surname).i am not able to edit those details.What can i do?Should i continue or can u pm whom to mail regarding this issue....

usually the cut offs are on the lower side..but you can't go with a preconceived notion...a lot will depend on the kind of paper that day...

just for an idea i attempted 8 in quants last year and got some 95.xx

regarding preparation solve as much of previous papers as you can..in this way you will get familiarized with the paper pattern...

and also practice some higher maths


Just to clear things up...u attempted 8 out of 20 and got all of them correct?? 😃 A confirmation will put my mind at ease buddy.

it depends on the toughness f d paper....last year VA was the easier f the lot with a cut off f around 9-10...QA n LR was the toughest with jus 6-7being the cutoff...dm n analytical reasonin had cut ff around 7-9..so it all depends on the sectional toughness


Err buddy dinchin....do those numbers imply number of correct questions or the marks scored?? I think it was 1 mark per question last time right? I don't remember how last year's paper was.

Is there a way to check if our form has reached XLRI?? My XAT registration is complete by the way. I checked the previous posts, but could not find an answer :-(.

Hi! A quick query:

I have paid the deposit online for both the XAT and XLRI. I have downloaded the both the forms and attached the photographs as well. Do I need to send any supporting documents with these forms to XAT office? or can I just mail the two forms separately?

I think he meant that getting a net of 7-8 marks in QA would have fetched you 95+, last year.
I got 12.6 (13c 2w) and got 98.xx.
You can put your mind at ease now 😃
