As the selection criteria is largely different, don't think a similar info would help.

PS: Minimum CAT percentile in General Category was 98.96.

I read in the summer internship report of first batch of IIM Kashipur that the strength of the batch was 37,wasnt it meant to be 60?
Did they leave seats unfilled?

Yeah it was supposed to be 60. But as they say to maintain quality they stopped it at 37. However, this year hopefully all 60 seats would be filled.

kashipur is the only IIM which is giving 40% weightage to PI!!!!

can anyone tell the time B schools give to freshers, to complete the degree in all respect........
Ive suffered a carryover which can be cleared around december ......does that mean , my game's up.....
help me ...sleepless nights......

i did not understand that to mainitain quality they stopped at 37 so do you mean people below 98.9 percentile do not have quality and iim did not find 60 quality people in top 5000 people is really a suriprise and please do not hide the real reason behind it

The term "Maintaining quality" was not intended for quality of students. It was intended for quality of education. Since these new IIMs lack infrastructure, permanent faculty and last year they did not even have a director. Inorder to maintain student to teacher ratio and provide basic infrastructure such as classrooms, hostel etc. they had to reduce their intake. Hope this year they have overcome these shortcomings and we can expect full intake.

@karthikkb, not all top 5000 people was interested in IIM Kashipur
even the applied ones didn't attend interview due to other converts,...
all three expected to take 60-72 students last year,... due to common GD-PI IIM's RRRT were able to get more students in,... Since,Kash and Udaipur had separate GD-PI, many didn't atten, so batch size is small...
This year they'll fill atleas 90% seats, i hope
even IIMC can't fill SC-ST seats fully,.. how could u expect 60 students in first batch of IIM-Kashipur,.....

wat's ur priority, I think u have Ranchi or Trichy in ur mind? or joining MDI or IITB in any case

but indore, fms, waitlist of BLACKS will come after new iim's result and there will be good waitlist movement till june15

Not sure about FMS..traditionally FMS has been known for putting the list out on the last day of the interviews...This year may have been a little slow but they seem to be in a hurry now (They are conducting 5 min interviews 😉 )

@gautham2k, Still not able to make up my mind between MDI or IIM T,R. IITB is out of contention with MDI in the bucket.

AFAIK IIMs don't accept students with carryovers.
FYI - The last date in our case was 31st december to submit all original documents. This is only for people who have cleared all the papers and waiting for results/ degree.
