i dont feel a student from IIM-Ranchi or trichi is treated the same way like one from ABC,..
i heard even in recent job offers they simply mention an mba from IIM-ABCLIK or FMS or XLRI
but an IIM is always an IIM,...
i personally feel new IIM's will be more adventurous,...

IIM Kashipur First batch has 38 boys,no girls:-)
no need to worry about gender diversity, girls prefer based on location of institute,...
last year,even after given admit none was willing to take it,..

Karthikkb SaysThe term "Maintaining quality" was not intended for quality of students. It was intended for quality of education. Since these new IIMs lack infrastructure, permanent faculty and last year they did not even have a director. Inorder to maintain student to teacher ratio and provide basic infrastructure such as classrooms, hostel etc. they had to reduce their intake. Hope this year they have overcome these shortcomings and we can expect full intake.

The current batch strength is 38, i recently download one file related to last year kashipur admissions from iiml site, it had 32 people receivin admit call, it was mentioned as 3rd waitlist for admissions,... i don know how many called in main list, first, second,.. and don know how many they called in total, seniors any info about last year, how many final calls made and etc
