Preferential selection/prioritization of new IIMs is nothing but perception based judgments...I mean how do you differentiate??? Just on the basis of hearsay i guess!!!

For the second point I'd say that there are always black swans, hence the overlaps...

For the third one, waitlisted candidates are being notified by mail(read a post on IIM Ranchi converts thread on being waitlisted 1)....

Called the admission office. They told me that they were not sure as IIM ranchi was handling it.

Rejected by Ranchi, Rhotak, Trichy and Udaipur. With a 97.51 percentile, 18 months of IT experience with decent amount of achievements, should I even pile up hopes for Kashipur or Raipur ? Puys, please advice.

Brother , I just feel u copied my situation ... Just that I got a lil higher %ile (97.95)... I feel our chances are very dismal at least from the way other IIMs have treated us (no wait list even)... Maybe CAT12 has something better for us

me too in the same boat . CAT - 97.7 . 10th - 91.4 , 12th -92.2 , 8 months of work ex in Automobile company(at the time of filling the form).
