During my IMI interview, the first question they asked me after my introduction was, "You seem to be a techie guy, then why should you do MBA. Why not MS?"

And I replied, whats wrong if a "techie" guy wishes to do MBA ? Would not it be a value addition to my profile ?

Result: Got offer only from IMI Bhubneswar..lol

Really hate when some one says "techie" guy as if its very easy to be a "techie" guy.

bhai log IIMs is bar different different methods se results bhej rela hai .....ho sake hai IIM KASHIPUR call karke bula rela ho.......bole utho bhai log aur apan log ka bora bistar baandh kashipur sair sapata karle ....aur koi to aa nahi rela IIM KASHIPUR to tu ichch log ahan dera daal le.

got straight rejects from Ranchi, Raipur, Trichi and Udaipur........not expecting something new from IIM Kashipur.......i guess its finally time to take up the job being offered by IFFCO (12LPA)

looking at the number of converts in pagalguy posts which is less than 1% i believe there is huge scope for us when the second list would be made public.....moreover since the older IIMs are coming up with their 2nd list, chances are high that waitlsit of new IIM will get cleared at rapid rate..............however the only doubt which creeps in my mind is there may be a possibility where the new IIMs may decide not to fill complete seats if they fail to find students upto 2nd or 3rd list.....

Infact i think its a very opaque way to release results. Transparency is always the best way.

R u fresher? If yes, then why do u want to join new IIMs or IIT kgp? U have already very well placed with package of 12lpa in a company like IFFCO.
If u do ur MBA after experience of 2 years that will add more value to ur CV.

it is not worth taking admission in new iim wid hving such a good job.............nxt yr again try for old iims.......bcoz new iims also hv avg package of 12lac/annum.

@richash05 transparent waitlist will help aspirants, but then it'll be mostly arrive to a situation that waitlist no of thousand got cleared, since there is already 1200 seats in blacki, and 150 in nitie, hundred in fms and xlri, spjain etc,... for kashipur and udaipur there is chance they've to fill even lower waitlisted students,... new iim's could have asked students who joined old iim's to opt out of their admissions through them,... it would have been much better for people wit onli new iim dunno how people in job get relieved if they clear waitlist few days before coll is about to open,...
