As of now we are being mentored by IIM L and do not have our own director yet. The permanent campus discussion will be mooted once director is appointed (which will happen very soon

Any realisitic chance of selection in IITs??

I need advise on how to prepare for the GD PIs. Because even if there is any feeble chance to convert, I want to try it fully.

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has been the buzz topic off late especially in the retail sector of India. It is the capital invested by a foreign firm in any domestic company. FDI has always been kind of love-hate relationship in an economy. It creates jobs, improves technology and provides opportunities for an economy to grow. But at the same time it also might bring in strong foreign intervention in major decision-making process of nation.
As per the current proposition by Cabinet, the current limit of 51% in Single Brand Retail is proposed to be increased to 100% and that in Multi-Brand Retail to 51% allowing significant involvement of foreign players like Wal-Mart and Telco in Indian Retail sector. There are various parties affected due to the clauses mentioned in the proposition.
Indian framer is to benefit the most as pointed out by ICRIER survey which suggests the direct purchase by these players from farmers can help farmers to get as much as 60% more than what they are getting. But the other side of issue is that they can control pricing in the market.
The unorganized retail i.e mom and pop shops are supposed to be affected quite severely due to induction of the giant players. It was one of the major reasons for the proposition not getting approval on political front when it was first proposed.
But all is not lost for these unorganized retailers as they can always use the nearest concept to their advantage as compared to best and cheap used by these foreign retailers. Also it would take a lot of time to eradicate the services like credit banking, home delivery, flexible timings, trustworthy products provided by these retailers.
Consumers are in complete win-win situation as they get exposure to better choices, pricing, services, products and much more. A consumer thus benefits a lot by significant elimination of middlemen and foreign retailer.
The Indian giants are other party which may be affected. As for eg Bata might provide high quality and reliability but not cheap price of Wal-Mart. So again that would have major impact on Indian Retailer.
So to sum it up FDI in Indian Retail Sector is set to affect different parties differently and bringing in a wave of change for the retail and other sectors in India.

Though am not a senior but can answer your query as it was mentioned by one of the seniors on fb page..
The mails would be sent to candidates to by 27th.. So can wait for a day more and if stil dont get it mail it to IIM Ranchi as they handling the admission process this year..

JP Morgan India Limited, till date
CAT Percentile(Overall with break-up scores): OA: 97.32 percentile (Verbal & Logical Reasoning: 96.88 & Quantitative & Data Interpretation: 94.53).
I have also cleared CFA level I exams from CFA Institute, USA.
This is the first time I will be giving an interview for MBA. I am very keen to clear it and make this through. However not sure, how do i go about preparing for the next rounds so that the institute wants me as much as i want to be a part of the institute.
Also the admission policy says that there a GD is also a part of evaluation process. the impression I had was that all the new IIMs will be conducting a common WAT and PI. Can you please shed some light on the same.
Any suggestions are welcome.

First thing you can do is surf through this thread from page 1 and other threads of respective IIM's you have been shortlisted.. You'll get a fair idea of how to go about with IInd stage prep..
