[2012-2014] SIBM Pune Final Results and Related Discussions

Out of the 109 odd ppl waitlisted for SIBM Pune.... if we take into accord the past trends... then a MAJORITY of those SHOULD convert...
That is the reason for having such an exhaustive waitlist...

Sorry but cant be more precise as to the exact no. of the last convert (you can always check out previous years threads on PG for more clarification)...
But MOST of those waitlisted have a VERY GOOD chance...

All the best!!
Cheers!!

sir i have one small doubt:

in sibm's admission mail its been mentioned that
"The fee receipt will be given to you on the day of joining the institute (i.e. on 5th June 2012)"

furthermore in the refund policy mail its been stated that
"To cancel your admission you need to firstly inform the Institute immediately about your cancellation through a
written communication or else your withdrawal will not be treated valid from that date. Once you have
communicated, you need to send us the original challan copy of the fees paid, along with an application signed by
the student.

i just wanted to know that is the challan mentioned here the bank receipt or the receipt that sibm pune will give me on my joining"?? if the latter is the case i would not be able to apply for refund before 5th june..

plzzz seniors replyyyyy sooonnnnnnn.........:banghead::banghead::banghead:

It is the bank copy that you might have with you on payment of fees via RTGS system

Hi,

What is the procedure for transferring a vehicle registered in some other state to Pune? Do we need to obtain an NOC or just paying the road-tax in Pune would do?

PS: How many of you are planning to bring your vehicles to the campus?

Hey Seniors,
just took a look at this placement report from the sibm site

http://www.sibm.edu/Placements/placement12.html

wanted to know if this report is this year's report

It looks fantastic :clap::clap:

Just a couple of question

1)Do we get the average package of each individual branches like fin ,marketing etc? was viewing the xlri bm & hr placement report. Its very detailed. So I asked.

2) *Stupid Question* . It is not mentioned that the placement was a 100%. I just assume that it was 100% and they forgot to mention it?

Thanks,
Mihir

It looks good indeed.

But, I have a doubt!!

Total offers- 157.

Offers per person 1.1

How is this possible?

Batch strength was 210 right?? Including International students and Kashmiri migrants.

Even the general batch strength was 180, right??

Also, average includes International offers?

Seniors could you please give us the division of the approx. number of students in every specialization? Moreover I too have the same doubt. How can 180 students (+ xyz) be made 157 offers which results in 1.1 offer per person? Seniors plz reply.

i think the rest got PPO/PPI offers 😃

Dude i think it`s On Campus offers + PPOs + PPIs = 157+30+41= 228

and 228/210 is approx. 1.1 :)

seniors please clarify!

seniors please clarify!

AFAIK Total no.of Offers include PPO's. And moreover PPO/PPI's means no.of Pre- Placement Offers per Pre-Placement Interviews which means 30 students converted their PPI's, so we cant add them in the total count.
Seniors plz correct me if I am wrong.

Pre-placement Offers: When an organization finds that you're good enough to fit in, based on your summer internship. You don't have to attend any GD/PI or any round that others attend.

PPI: You can bypass all other rounds (GD...) and sit straight for interviews. Again, based on summer internship ( I guess..)

So PPOs & PPIs are different.

Ok these are a few clarifications regarding the placement reports published...

1) We DO NOT have a batch strength of 180.... we have 171 ppl in our batch (many folks withdrew admission in the final stages as they had a better convert.... remember this was the 1st yr for ONLINE CAT (2009) and hence the fiasco... my junior batch had around 200+ according to normal admission rules)

2) The no. of offers mentioned are those received by students who sat for Final Placements (many opted out as they had better opportunities elsewhere)

3) PPO means the no. of final offers accepted from organisations based on summer internships
PPI means just the interviews that happened and not necessarily translated into offers finally...

Cheers!!

Just one question Shourya, does the number 157 include 30 PPO's
