Since there is an official notification on IIM K's site that the results will be declared by the 4th of May, I am assuming the results will appear in the last week i.e after 28th of April. Since the new 6 IIMs are somehow linked to IIM K I am again assuming they will only reveal their results in the last week. What remains is LIS results but Shillong generally takes time. Since Indore took time to bring out its GDPI list, I am assuming they will also announce their results in the last week. Hopefully L will announce its results soon enough. Going by so many assumptions, I believe the list on the 22nd will also not have a considerable amount of movement but yes it definitely will move a notch owing to cancellations for ABC,TISS etc.Then again, these are all based on my personal opinions. One thing which I am really sure about though is that the list after the 22nd will surely see many of us go through.ATB.

WaitList movement has been slow , if you can, wait till 22 otherwise consult the seniors .

XLRI, I am not sure. But MDI has schedules for GD/PI reaching into late April and FMS is super-duper late anyhow, so we can definitely count them out of the movement on 22nd.

Chill brother... Even if your categories are the same (which might not be the case), the same wait-list number simply means your composite score is the same. If two people have the same wait-list number (say 10), then the next guy will be wait-list 12. There is another guy at Wait-list 13, just like me. Lucky me, that he's converted IIFT. 😃

If two of more people have the same consolidated score then their w/l no. will be same...
So accordingly the next no. in the w/l will vary proportionately to the no. of ppl with the same no.
So if 2 ppl are waitlisted as 10... the next no. has to be 12...

The question you asked is very valid... the criteria that the admission dept. will employ to segregate between the 2 of you is internal to their knowledge only..
But don't look at it as a choice amongst the 2 of you... with w/l no. at 10... both of you will receive calls in the consequent lists...

had a really pleasant surprise today wen i got my refund of 344000 tdy! And wats more surprising is that i had withdrawn just a week back!
Kudos to sibm for such prompt service!!!
What is happening....I cant understand.It is impossible that even single person has not withdrawn and all 16 who has been offered on 2 April has taken admission.

You might be over-reacting but it is definitely a reason for me to worry. My initial wl no was 102 and now it is stuck at 53. I am really worried if I will be able to make it or not. Looking at the trends, I feel that I am out of the race.

But the classes of SIBM will start on 5/6 June .Whereas those of IIM/IIT are starting by June end or July start and since the waitlist movement now totally depends these colleges I am also worried .
In that case is it possible that waitlist movement will be possible even in month of june or after that.

Well there is definitely a refund system for those who revoke admission after the commencement of the program, so yes, it is technically possible for there to be movement after that. However, the refund in such cases is a much smaller amount, so I doubt a lot of people letting it go on so long...
