I just called SIBM P a few minutes back and when I asked when the new shortlist will be announced? He said I was asking a wrong question? W/L would be announced only when someone cancels admission(no particular date) and they would inform us by e-mail and snail mail

Well, then I am guessing we'll have to wait at least a week, to see the effect of XL results and the MDI and IIM late cancellations. Given that the cancellation process takes some time. In any case, we really have nothing to look forward to except the periodic checking of a) The results link for any changes, b) Our e-mail accounts for any mail by SIBM-P, and c) This forum, where I hope people will honestly update as soon as they get their mail.
Sid871 had said that he was W/L 1 now, so I guess he should be getting the first mail.

Also the results wont be updated and individual mails will be sent.
The person was VERY cautious when I asked his name and also could not justify why the list has been removed from the website.
Now as I say this I request all of u to please keep the thread updated with anything new u hear abt. What I gather is that RASHAB is the next one who will receive the convert letter. Can the person(s) who is/are next 10 to him pls identify themselves??
My current WL no. is 26
I know my case a li'l far fetched but I have been repeated told to stay hopeful and calm, so let us C!!

Dude, rashabs has already converted. He was one of the 5 who converted on April 23rd. Right now, sid871 should be wait-list 1. That's what I remember seeing in one of the previous posts. I am wait-list 8 currently, and I think faizah010 is 5. Almost everyone who gets in now is accepting the admission. One sure exception is the guy who is tied with me at W/L 8 (he has converted IIFT). Also, another guy, rnie (he is probably W/L 22 currently) has given up hope and joined Great Lakes. One person also mentioned that his initial W/L status was 95 (so currently 41), but he/she has converted XL.
